Sudden Drop in Goldcoin?
« on: August 30, 2013, 10:36:05 AM »
Hey, yesterday I was looking at some sites, it was saying that the % Profitability of BTC was over 300%, today it's around 200. Also yesterday a Goldcoin was worth $0.0066, today it is worth  $0.0045 that's -31.48% Any ideas why? will it go back up?

The mining profitability is a reflection of the market price, but since the market price is so volatile these rises and falls will be occurring more and more. Besides, GLD was stable for awhile, we needed some more trading going on. The more adoption to GLD the potentially more stable

I'm still buying and the market looks healthy.  ;D

Keep in mind, the price of USD/BTC has increased by 40% over the past 2 weeks which has played a major role in the GLD price. For example, a 50% decrease in GLD/BTC would mean just a 10% drop against the USD. If you look at other coin charts, especially LTC, you will find similar price movement.

Compare these two charts to see what I mean:

http://www.cryptocoincharts.info/period-charts.php?period=1-month&resolution=day&pair=ltc-usd&market=btc-e

Notice how LTC has remained strong against the USD over this two-week period even though its BTC price has dropped.

I buy when ever I can, I just wish I had more BTC or LTC I'd buy more at these lower prices. I'll mine a different coin if it has a lower diff. then sell it and buy Goldcoin as long as it will get me more Goldcoins I'll do it!!

I look at it this way. If MicroGuy is right and we hit $1 within 12 months I'll have a few dollars I can spend and my wife won't know about it :) She'll just ask, How did you get a new car? Oh I got it from them so called stupid coins you didn't want me dealing with online ;) now you can't have any lol But if she knows I made money she'll have her hand out...  Okay hand it over, Then I'll  :'( :'(

Heh, that was very fun to read :L Also, yeah, I'm hoping to save up a TON of goldcoins, for when it is worth that money, imagine goldcoin being worth as much as Bitcoin, and I know somepeople are mass producing the coins like mad! (microguy)
