GoldCoin Discussion / [WANTED] Trusted Moderator Recommendations
« on: June 11, 2013, 09:42:25 AM »

It won't be long before I'm going to need some help moderating this forum.

This individual should have experience moderating and dealing with a wide range of personalities. It must be someone who can be trusted and who will project a positive and professional image for Goldcoin. I'm willing to pay this person a fair compensation in GLD on a weekly basis.

Please type in the thread below your votes and recommendations.

Technical Discussion / Goldcoin (GLD) Core Development Thread
« on: June 11, 2013, 06:43:39 AM »
As many of you are probably aware, we are working to secure a talented developer for fixing the code.

Ultimately we must put into place a development team so that the future of the coin never rests in the hands of a single individual. Once we get the immediate technical issues resolved and the network stabilized I feel it is critical that we get to work putting into place a mechanism that will prevent a single person from bringing the coin to its knees.

According to my sources, we need to start making some very critical decisions this week regarding the code. So let's get to work.

GoldCoin Discussion / Let's Get this Coin off of Life Support!
« on: June 09, 2013, 12:16:23 PM »
There is a lot of skepticism surrounding this coin and for good reason.

Based on all the data I have gathered and my 30+ years experience in the computer business, I personally give this coin a 1 in 6 chance of survival. This means that we need the stars to align properly and for all of the key players to become serious and professional in their approach beginning NOW! The shenanigans and name calling of the past are not helpful. If gold coin is to survive I think those representing it must hold themselves to the very highest levels of honesty and integrity. It doesn't matter what you've done in the past, it's never too late to change.

I personally view this coin as a patient in the hospital connected to a vast array of tubes, hoses, and a ventilator. And running around the hospital bed is a group of children laughing and calling the unconscious patient names. The poor patient is still alive but struggling desperately to remain in this three dimensional reality. And if the doctors can't save it, he will be leaving for the cryptocoin afterworld very soon.

What am I doing?

1. Talking with my associates and bringing awareness and investment to the coin.
2. Paying miners to mine until the tubes and hoses can safely be removed.
3. Making how-to guides for downloading the wallet and buying on Cryptsy.
4. Creating a series of Youtube videos to encourage buying the coin on Cryptsy.
5. Building and maintaining a community forum.

So basically, I am trying to save this patient with 110% of my energy. But I can't do it alone and will need a lot of help from seriously dedicated and focused individuals. Like I said previously, if the stars align just right and the universe smiles on us, there is a possibility this coin could achieve fantastic heights.

If we can all pull together and get this coin off life-support and into the mainstream awareness, it is my belief that this coin could be a "real contender".

In support of GLD we're now paying miner's $8.00/day per 1,000 KH/s to mine Gold Coin (GLD).

The total amount budgeted for this program is $40.00/day which should result in an additional 5,000KH/s of mining power. What I'm requesting now are suggestions on how this plan should be organized, managed, and implemented. Basically I will need to know how to verify the paid rates are being achieved and how to fairly distribute these funds. It's also most certain that these rates will need to be adjusted over time.

Marketplace / [WANTED:] Mining Consultant | Mining Rig Rental
« on: June 06, 2013, 08:59:24 PM »
I'm currently seeking a miner who will dedicate one (or more) of his rigs to mining an alt coin of my choosing. Basically I will pick a coin and the miner will begin mining the coin. This will not be BTC or LTC. Ideally he would have additional machines that he could convert over as needed. I need the miner to provide all configuration and monitoring of the mining rigs application interface.

Please reply in this thread with your weekly price including machine specs, hash rates, etc. I will then look at these prices and send a private message to the individual with the most attractive package. I will need daily reports sent via email and the mined coins sent to me once or twice per week.

Eventually I hope to build a large network of miner/rigs that I can turn to different coins as needed.

Hi,

And thank you for visiting the new Goldcoin Forum. In this thread, I am seeking ideas and suggestions for improving the forum or comments related to Goldcoin in general. To help get those creative juices flowing I will send 100 GLD to the first 20 users who post their ideas along with their receiving addresses. To earn the 100 GLD you must make an attempt at a useful comment not just a simple posting of your receiving address.

I'm very excited about the prospects of this coin and appreciate your participation.

Sincerely,

Greg Matthews

Technical Discussion / Goldcoin Client Syncing Problems
« on: June 06, 2013, 10:12:21 AM »
According to the developer the wallet will not sync until another block is mined. It is still safe to send and receive coins. I will keep this thread updated as more information becomes available.
