GLD Market?

Hello, i have been browsing through some of the old posts and i would like to say i am amazed by how the community of Goldcoin was so active and really doing alot of positive things about 1 year ago. Something which really did capture my eye was this topic 'GLD Market', i would like to know some more information of what happened to this project and what happened to the member who created this GLD Market? I strongly believe Goldcoin needs exactly this kind of Market place again and i would be happy to fund a project of this magnitude.



Do we know if this member is still active and is there anyway to get in contact with him?

If this is unsuccessful do we have anyone who has the knowledge of how to build such a market. I am really interested in this and one more thing, if you look at the very beginning of these posts about GLD Market, look at how many new members started to join Goldcoin because of this. It will also give Kreno777 a leading hand in how ordinary people can purchase Goldcoin more easily.

The GLD Market was operated by a teenage boy that lived with his parents in India. Around the time of its development, a news story broke about an Indian bitcoin exchange operator that was arrested. After this news broke, bustingbuster vanished and quit responding to private messages.

I think this could possibly work in a country other than the United States. The regulatory hurdles here in the US would make opening a Goldcoin exchange cost prohibitive. Another option would be to contact an existing exchange that supports fiat and lobby for the addition of GLD.

Thanks for the information, it would be good if we did have our own GLD exchange where we trade GLD/USD, it would be the ease of buying GLD which would make it really appealing to a lot of new people and people who are already within the crypto world. I know in the United States there are loads of financial laws to overcome but like you said maybe a different country would be better. Having our own GLD exchange would move Goldcoin up the rankings quite considerably. When explaining how to but GLD it is not the easiest to explain and show to a novice so i do think it is something we will have to look into, it could be one of the biggest crowd funded projects of our Kind.

GLD is currently on the Cryptsy.com Exchange, so it is relatively easy to transition from BTC, LTC, XRP to GLD on their exchange.  There is a 0.29% transaction fee, at least on the BTC/GLD trades, which I think is pretty reasonable, but if you need to do multiple trades from currency to currency, it's something to consider.

Currently, it looks like they offer exchanges to Goldcoin directly from Bitcoin, Litecoin, or Ripple.  If you have some other crypto-currency, you'll first need to convert those altcoins in BTC, LTC or XRP and then convert to GLD.  Lastly, if you want to deposit or withdraw to USD, then you need to verify your account, which includes a fairly extensive form that includes uploading certain ID and uploading a picture of yourself with a sign and said ID.
