Don't know if something is wrong. But I had say 50 Valid Shares then the count dropped down to 1 Valid Share and the count is starting over. Any reason why this would happen? And the shares I had yesterday aren't showing, just so you know I didn't cash out.

That is valid shares in the current round. When the round finishes, the number is reset to 0 and you are paid for your shares in the last round. (Well it's PPLNS but yeah.) The blocks your payments are from need 120 confirmations before you are able to withdraw them.

Go to Account > Transactions > Unconfirmed to view your payouts that are yet to be confirmed. (ie. won't show up in available balance)

Dreamwatcher, think you can edit the mining pool to show the current time in whatever format is being used to post when blocks are found on the bottom of the left side info bar? (UTC would be awesome all around)

Like, right underneath 'Pool Invalid". I am not sure which time zone you are using for the site.

Wow, I have been so busy the last week, I did not notice this thread  ;D

Now I know it is here it is bookmarked.

The pool posts dates/times in Unix time stamp which is in UTC.

I can put a clock in the dashboard, I will get to it as time allows.

Thank you everybody for your support. The Goldcoin pool by far has been my most successful pool !

I want to eventually move the pool to PPS, however trying to convert a current pool (database) has been less then successful, hence the closing of the JKC pool until I can debug what happened. :-\

There may not be as much trouble if I open a separate PPS pool with a fresh database.Which means registering separately on the PPS pool and using different mining ports.

I would like a little feed back on how many would use the PPS pool.

gld.cryptocoinmine.com has lowered the payout confirm count to 10.

This means coins will be credited to the miners account when a block has 10 confirms instead of 120.

I am doing this as part of the general preparation to start the PPS pool. I have purchased enough reserve to run the PPS pool and lower the confirm rate on the proportional pool.

Enjoy the quicker rewards. I hope to see everybody take advantage of the PPS pool once it is up and running.  ;)

THE GOLDCOIN CRYPTOCOIN MINE PPS POOL IS OPEN FOR LIVE TESTING.
URL:   gldpps.cryptocoinmine.com
PORT: 6565 Stratum
PORT: LP will come online when the proportional pool is closed.

I will close the proportional pool once the majority of miners have switched over to the PPS pool.

PPS (Pay Per Share) payout systems are based on difficulty and block reward. Miners are not in contention to get shares of a found block. Every valid share is paid the same rate no matter how long it takes to find a block. The number of miners in the pool or pool hash rate does not effect payout.

This type of system puts all the risk in the pool operators hands. Miners get paid the PPS rate regardless of luck or orphans.

The PPS rate formula:

(Block reward - pool fee) / difficulty

For the first week or two, I will not be charging a pool fee to encourage miners to get switched over. After that time the pool fee will be 2.5%. The higher fee is due to the much higher risk on my part, and in terms of other PPS pools is a low-average fee.

Mapuo on the bitcoin forum caught that the cron job for PPS was not crediting properly.

Thank you for catching that .

It appears I missed a hard coded variable buried in the cron job.  The config file has a item for the current block reward, so it is strange there would be a hard coded number (not even a variable) in the cron jobs for block reward   :o ???

I have sent everybody that has mined in the PPS pool (that put in a payout address), 15x what their balance was. The block reward value of 50 was hard coded in the PPS cronjob and I have since changed it to the proper value of 500.

The extra 5x payment is a bonus for the trouble. I also have left the balances where they are in effect paying at a 16x rate.

I need account#4 to put a payout address in so I can send you your coin.

I just moved the JKC pool to a different VPS, so I am comfortable resource wise, to set up a LP on the Goldcoin PPS pool ahead of time.

I must admit though I am surprised by the lack of enthusiasm for the PPS pool, especially from smaller miners, as it really benefits them the most.

Just wanted to give the Goldcoin community a little preview of some of the changes planned for CCE.

It is looking more and more like a complete rewrite of ABE, probably so much so it will not be ABE anymore.

For coin developers, you will have API access to a large information box on your coins homepage on CCE.

One corner of the box would display the current client/daemon version number. Across the top line, you could activate a red headline for news needed immediate attention.

As it stands now the Home Page starts with the coin symbol and name as the headline. The network hash rate goes below it. The basic information on the last five blocks is next. Then two boxes of information about the coin. The basic side would have web links and the Tech. side would have  ports, trusted nodes, address version etc.
