Hello folks, i am an early adopter of gldcoin, and bitcoin, but i kind of quit the whole digital currency universe after i got scammed three times, by exchanges. And recently i had 40k dormant gldcoins on cryptsy when they took the website down. I thought bigvern is in for the long term, guess he quit early. i think bots are hurting them, they take a lot of bandwidth with the micro transactions spam .. and of course the wave of new people coming on board..
basically these exchanges are hosted on private servers, not ready to work with that many people. However, i prefer it stays like that "exchanges owned by individuals" instead of heavy regulated big exchanges with huge infrastructure.

i hope to have as many exchanges as possible.

Speaking of which, I wonder if products like this can be used in the crypto world simultaneously.  That would be cool.

that's a great idea.. i am not sure about technical issues, but we can use the same concept, instead of credit/debit card numbers, it would be addresses for various coins .. but then we have to go back to Microguy's idea of a unified POS system ..

   or we can just use the wallet Apps on our phones .. each store would have a "variable" bar-code for the corresponding coin .. i can think of  a project if we decide to follow that road,  a phone with big storage capacity to handle  the growing block-chain.. i like the idea of such phone :https://phonebloks.com .. today, phone manufacturer's are barely introducing new technologies, and have very high prices for relatively low storage capacity..


 following the same line of thought, an idea just came to my mind,at a later stage such "large" projects can be funded by the community..  what about we setup a website similar to btcjam or http://www.gofundme.com/ or kickstarter .. to fund "legitimate" project proposals..
