Sunday Meeting April 09th Highlights

1.  Zendesk live chat added to trygoldcoin.com. This improves customer experience by providing live support in real time.

2.  Cometchat added to gldtalk.org replacing iflychat.

3.  Altcoins from the cryptsy sale continue to fly off the shelf. I updated the master list Exhibit B today to accurately reflect the remaining currencies.

4.  Getting requests for SPV wallets to improve customer experience using Goldcoin in desktop. If someone would like to contribute to this project, we can get a thread started on gldtalk.org.

5.  Something we've been missing and discussed before is a marketing presence. This problem was addressed this week with the addition of Steve Conley to the Goldcoin team. http://www.gldcoin.com/about/

Steve Conley serves as National Marketing Director. He has decades of experience in sales, marketing, and entrepreneurship. His experiences include owning and operating an Internet Hosting company,  serving as an agent in international boxing productions, and  international events production that includes the largest AIDS awareness concert  ever produced (Nairobi, Kenya - over 500,000 attendees).   He  owns We Care Worldwide, an entity that helps raise funds for numerous causes, and an internet-based  travel agency.

6.  Goldcoin added to the accepted currencies at coinpayments.net. Goldcoin integration underway on drgerald.net.

7.  Volume on c-cex and bittrex are down. We need to keep close eye on these levels to ensure we remain complaint with listing requirements. C-CEX is .2 BTC daily volume and Bittrex is .5 BTC daily volume.

8.  Looking into making a fork of the bitcoin insight API which will enable us to use the cryptowoo cryptocurrency plugin for woocommerce. Please see gldtalk.org forum thread for more information or if you would like to contribute to the project.

9.  The team is working with new community member dashed-slug to develop a Woocommerce solution that will utilize the coinpayments.net API.

Sunday Meeting April 23rd Highlights:

1. Alex will be releasing his plugin this week with full support for Goldcoin via the Coinpayments.net API. This will provide yet another solution for merchants that want to accept Goldcoin as payment for products and services. More info: https://www.dashed-slug.net/

2. The PokerTube.com launch is scheduled for Wednesday of this week. The team will remain on standby in the event their website staff requires technical assistance.

3. The Cryptsy Community Relief Project which provides mutual benefit to all parties is proceeding smoothly. During the process we have established many new relationships as we extend goodwill to the broader altcoin communities. All of the wallet recipients (many of whom are developers) are now members of gldtalk.org and subscribers to our newsletter. This means as our development needs grow we will have a larger pool of resources from which to draw talent.

4. We are currently working with the Gold Club to ensure club members have the ability to withdraw their Goldcoin held in account if so desired.

5. The team is seeking a project manager for the DrGerald.net Goldcoin integration. CryptoWoo has quoted a price of $3000 to adapt their Woocommerce plugin and make it compatible with Goldcoin, but we hope to get this price down by doing some of the work in-house.

6. There will be a major Goldcoin event held in St Louis, Missouri Saturday April 29th at 10:00 am. The event will be held at the Better Family Live cultural center. The event will focus on financial Independence, cryptocurrency basics, how to safely use, and where to obtain Goldcoin.

Sunday Meeting April 30rd Highlights:



1. Tadspoles promotion idea: Weekly Goldcoin lottery type drawing for registered forum members. Every Saturday we will award 100 GLD to the lucky winner. I will make an announcement on the forum later this evening.

2. Dr. Gerald provided highlights from the April 29th Goldcoin Seminar held in St Lois which had 24 attendees. The event, which is the first in a series, was promoted throughout the week on Facebook and Twitter using targeted paid advertising.

5. Our brand combined with the underlying technology gives us the unique opportunity to build the greatest form of money that has ever existed. We continue to work steadfast towards this goal which as always remains the project's ultimate objective.

6. Added SSL and Cloudflare treatment to official website gldcoin.com. This caused a brief outage to our Android wallet due to an improper DNS setting. The issue was resolved approximately 1 hour into the outage.

7. Annual Christmas bonuses for team members was announced. Each summer we will conduct a development fundraiser and issue bonuses based on amount generated.

8. Gilead provided the team with an update regarding his project and discussed a new program whereby Gold Club members will be instructed on the downloading and proper operation of the Goldcoin Android app.

Sunday Meeting May 7th Highlights

Another exciting and busy week 

1. 2 new cryptocurrency books on Amazon discussing Goldcoin. These are written by Goldcoin investor and community member Stephen Ashley.

2. Coin Payments Woocommerce plugin should be ready for testing on Tuesday. This is a custom plugin that features option for Goldcoin as store base currency, excellent GUI, and privacy meaning no third party data collection.

3. Trygoldcoin.com has switched to Squareup for merchant card processing. Credit cards are now entered directly into the checkout page.

4. One of our exchanges C-CEX has been experiencing issues this week. Some have reported the site is under DDoS attack. At last check, the API has been down for 24 hours.

5. Bitcoin price movement breaking all-time high. Continues moving higher as do the network's transaction fees. Average transaction fee for seeing confirmation within 5 blocks is now 65 cents. Not sure if Satoshi intended it to cost $1.65 to send $1.00.

Sunday Meeting May 21st Highlights

Another exciting and busy week! 

1.)  Development of "Goldcoin Payments for Woocommerce" is now complete and has been integrated into DrGerald.net. A premium version will be released next week that provides faster checkout via a hosted daemon service.

2.)  Bitcoin price has exceeded $2000 for the first time in history while simultaneously giving up market dominance thanks to increasing capital inflows into the broader altcoin markets. Bitcoin now accounts for just 45% of the total cryptocurrency market.

3.)  Contacted race management service about costs to produce 1st annual "Run for the Gold" 5K road race. Runners will receive Goldcoin t-shirts for entering and can win GLD by placing in a top position for their age category. Gold canopy covered tables will be setup to explain goldcoin to runners. Initial cost is $1,500 which can be recovered via entry fees.

4.)  This week, the Goldcoin node count exceeded 300 for the first time ever. Android app now accounts for approximately 70% of customer wallets.

5.)  Our previous card provider decided to stop supporting the processing of transactions because they were cryptocurrency related. We anticipate having a replacement solution for accepting credit cards in place sometime this week.

Sunday Meeting May 28 Highlights

Goldcoin Payments Week! 

1.)  Most of this week has been dedicated to finishing the production version of the Goldcoin Payments plugin for Woocommerce. There is now a free version and a premium version that features near instant checkout times.



The free version uses the CryptoID block explorer API to watch for payments to the Woocommerce order's unique GLD address. The premium version uses a newly developed API to check the Goldcoin daemon for address payments. The cost of the premium version is yet to be determined.

2.)  There is a new Goldcoin p2p mining pool (see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=852083.0)

3.)  Dr G is making push in St. Louis for local merchants to accept Goldcoin. We now have our first retail merchant in the area which is a local barbershop. At some point in the near future we'll begin building out the POS terminals.

Sunday Meeting June 11 Highlights

There's been a lot going on within the Goldcoin community over the past two weeks. At today's meeting I made the first test of my new mobile Skype rig made up of the new Logitech 4K webcam, Sennheiser headset, and IBM Thinkpad.

I'm building the rig in preparation for next year's North American Goldcoin Tour (see below).

1.  For the past several weeks all email functions of the forum have been crippled. I mistakenly commented out the openssl extension in PHP on the website server. A friendly Twitter user recently contacted me and alerted me to the problem. Email service has now been fully restored.

3.  Recently I've been testing Purse.io by buying various items w/ bitcoin on Amazon. Once the client update is released we can look into the possibility of getting Goldcoin added to ShapeShift making GLD Amazon payments possible.

5.  In 2018 we will launch the "North American Goldcoin Tour" whereby I will travel the continent in a Class A motorhome w/ full Goldcoin advertising wrap. 8.  Amir has announced an upcoming rebase (likely candidate 0.8.7.5) of the core client. The projected release date for this update is early to mid August. We will provide more details over the coming weeks.

Sunday Meeting June 25 Highlights

1.  In order to increase forum accessibility, a Facebook forum login has been added. This allows users with a Facebook account to signup with one click. I'll look into getting Twitter and Google added this week.

2.  This month was held the first German meetup between Cryptosolar and Stemis (who was traveling to Germany). In addition, node count in the country is at an all-time high and now makes up nearly 5% of the network.

3.  Gerald Higginbotham continues to raise funds for his Garden of Eden project. More on this project next week.

4.  It was suggested that our meeting time be moved up to avoid conflicts with Sunday church activity. The new meeting time is 7 p.m eastern (6 p.m central).

5.  The GoldCoin Talk forum domain was changed from GLDTALK.ORG to GOLDCOINTALK.ORG. The depreciated domain will continue to provide forwarding service for a minimum of 1 year.

6.  There are indications that our anti SegWit position is attracting bitcoin purists who are disillusioned with the current bitcoin infighting. Goldcoin is 100% committed to Satoshi's original vision which means the primary chain should never be throttled. The code enforces a social contract by its users who demand that Goldcoin remain sovereign, decentralized, and trustless.

8. There have been recent upgrades to the payment gateway and mail server for TryGoldcoin.com. All site email is now routed through Amazon SES while the local SMTP server is being depreciated.

9.  This fall Steve Conley will be kicking off a 19-city Goldcoin Tour speaking at historic black colleges across America.

10. We experienced an over-capacity issue with Skype at the beginning of the meeting. Skype disables audio and video when a group exceeds 24 users. This problem was resolved by removing group users who were not present for the meeting.

1.  We expect to release a code rebase over the next few weeks. This work has been delayed due to the fact we refuse to allow SegWit into the Goldcoin client.

2.  The iFlychat forum integration is now complete w/ chat service plan prepaid for 1 year. This is one of the best chat apps available on the internet and we're happy we could bring it back to Goldcoin Talk community.

3.  This week Goldcoin broke its all-time price and daily volume records for the second consecutive week.

4.  Goldcoin website updated with refined mission statement. "Goldcoin is the World's first hard money. A super secure value store and cash payment system for the new digital World."

5.  We are closely monitoring the bitcoin situation as various important dates approach. There's a strong possibility that in early August the main bitcoin blockchain could split into 3 or more viable chains.

6. If you are talented in video production, we're still seeking an individual to screen capture and publish our weekly team meetings. This position pay $100 per session.

1.  Goldcoin continues breaking records. Since our last meeting we have reached all-time intraday highs for both price and market volume. In addition, this week TryGoldcoin is expected to break its all-time monthly sales record.

2.  River analogy provided by MicroGuy: Goldcoin is like a mountain river with twists and turns, moments of challenge, and periods of calm. And just like a mighty river, Goldcoin refuses to be tamed and will never be stopped.

3.  The community is developing a new marketing strategy that communicates the currency's commitment to on-chain scaling and the rejection of contaminating, incentive sapping protocol changes like Segwit. Goldcoin refuses to allow itself to become compromised.

Opening: "GoldCoin (GLD) is the world's first Hard Money. A super secure value store and cash payment system for the New Digital World."

1.  The protocol is fundamental. The underlying structure of anything will determine its behavior. When you change the protocol, you change everything. Most people don't think structurally, they think situationally.

2.  What the world wants is sovereign money; basically the antithesis of what we've had for the past 100 years. The only way this can be achieved is by means of the protocol. The only way this can be stopped is by means of the protocol. (thought: People that do not understand the protocol are ill equipped to take part in consensus voting.)

3.  Goldcoin is now supported by Trading View. Trading View is one of the largest and most active trading communities on the web, with over 1,000,000 monthly active users from 100+ countries. https://www.tradingview.com/symbols/GLDBTC/

4.  Goldcoin has met an area of market resistance at the 10 cent level. This is primarily due to the fact 10 cents is the all-time high, sans short term spikes. Order book ask depth indicates the strength of this resistance is weakening. Being on parity with the dime is also influencing this rut.

6.  Advertising. Albert Milligan has devised a social media advertising strategy that is now in its second week. This strategy involves capturing social media conversions by promoting our brand, our dedication to on-chain scaling, and strict adherence to the concepts as outlined in Satoshi's original whitepaper.

Goldcoin is sovereign money. Its economic incentives shall remain unmolested, its permissionless and trustless character untarnished.
