The Goldcoin ReportWeek of June 16, 2013It has been brought to my attention that there is no single information source where Goldcoin investors and supporters can come to view the latest news and progress related to the project. So I have made this thread as a way for people to read a summary of the latest news from a single location.
Below I'll list (off the top of my head) the progress we've made over the past 2 weeks.1. Goldcoin was revived from near death through the implementation of a paid mining program. This program brought the network hashrate from near zero to 7.5MH/s. This led to a market price increase which led to more miners coming aboard. The program was discontinued after it became unnecessary as the hashrate is now organically sustained.
2. As of this writing Goldcoin is the most profitable coin to mine in its category on CoinChoose:
http://coinchoose.com/litecoin.php3. We are now activity working to build an entire team of developers. The original developer has agreed to assist in a limited capacity as needed. Also, this month Hyoshi (who has worked with the previous developer) became the newest member of DevTeam. Ultimately we hope to build and maintain a team of 3 to 4 professional developers as the coin continues to mature.
4. In the past two weeks the market price has seen an increase of nearly 3 fold. That's 300% higher than when we rescued the coin with paid mining.

GLDCOIN.COM was purchased from the original developer and is now being constructed by our forum moderator and friend String17. Once the site is complete it will serve as the main repository of links and instructions for downloading and using the client.
This is really only a sample of the things we've accomplished over the past two weeks.
Just imagine what we'll be able to accomplish over the course of the next two years!
