GoldCoin Discussion / Re: GoldCoin Gives Us That Rare Chance!
« on: January 13, 2017, 12:49:11 AM »
It is an interesting subject to discuss philosophically.

"Run for your life from any man who tells you that money is evil. That sentence is the leper's bell of an approaching looter. So long as men live together on earth and need means to deal with one another – their only substitute, if they abandon money, is the muzzle of a gun." - from Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand

If you have a bter account, you can make a support ticket requesting to add GoldCoin: http://support.bter.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

I've seen a lot of talk about mintpal.com   They have a voting system to get new coins onto the exchange.  Might be something to look into.  It would have to be a group effort to get GLD voted on.

This type of voting is having BTC sent to an address, some exchanges do this to get coins added. I added links for BTC voting to the original post.

Guys, let's push for bter, it's a whole different market and they have CNY there. Attach pictures, send private messages, whatever. Btw, how come BBQcoin is on there but not GLD?  :o

Anyway, I noticed some complaints about one of the Quark clones having error messages and sync issues and not being supported. It seems like investors in the Asian market have been going by the hype, and thus potentially put their trust investing into a coin that may not have had solid backing, which is unfortunate. On the other hand, we have some very solid technical support and long term development and backing behind GoldCoin, and that is very significant in terms of offering real value for investors in a mine field of multiplying short term backed zoo coins and coin copies without developers remaining on board. So what we're offering is actually really good, and I think they would be happy to add it... but we need to get the message across!

GoldCoin Discussion / Re: New Client Teaser (Code Teaser)

Cool, looking forward to seeing it in action. Does having it run in java mean that it would be easier to integrate into web and phone apps?

I haven't seen the new client, don't know who did what on it, don't know who's behind the new logo and videos, and haven't followed the tipping and commentary on Reddit outside of /r/goldcoin.

I would, however, like to note and thank the prompt responses to my questions in the mining and technical areas.

Project Development / Glass Goldcoin Promo Poster
« on: March 02, 2014, 03:43:26 PM »
Here is a promo poster for Goldcoin. Perhaps I can look into having some of these made, with shiny plastic material, so they could be cheap enough to give out on tours and at conferences.

But for now, just a poster, 18 x 24 inches: http://www.filesnack.com/files/cd1cfvxg
Different, smaller version for a 1680 x 1050 pixel background: http://www.filesnack.com/files/cdtkld1b

Hey, have you looked into ways to get USD into an exchange? Because that would make things a lot easier.

This is a US site that deals with USD successfully, but only for Bitcoin: https://coin.mx/

Hey! I think it's a great idea to combine both an exchange and a market into one service. Please add Goldcoin, that would be awesome!

Technical Discussion / Goldcoin Firstbits
« on: February 25, 2014, 01:53:52 PM »
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Firstbits

Is there a way to find the firstbits for a Goldcoin address?

Is the block explorer set up such that the firstbits found for an address would be guaranteed for that specific address and would not locate an overlapping address added later?

Could the firstbits be added to the http://www.goldcoinwallet.com/ addresses if available?
