Technical Support / Wallet Sync Problem

Hi
I downloaded Gold Coin Wallet from https://www.goldcoin.org/get-started/ on windows 7 - 64 Bit pc .
1) The wallet downloaded and syncronised with blockchain however upon restart of wallet wallet keeps needing to syncronise with block chain everytime due to an error.
2) I then downloaded the Gold coin Wallet on Windows 8 -64 Bit laptop the wallet downloaded correctly but can not establish any connection with goldcoin network and does not show any active connections.
PLEASE can anyone guide me through this technical issue.
