Technical Support / Re: Wallet Sync Problem

Hi Everyone
I managed to download Goldcoin wallet and unziped the Bootstrap file to get it synced faster.
I followed these following instructions below:
firstly you will want to download the client, start it up and encrypt the wallet. This will give you a wallet.dat file within your Goldcoin appdata folder. This appdata folder is a hidden folder
on most systems. To access this folder easily you can go to the search bar and type %appdata% go to the roaming folder within this folder and scroll down to Goldcoin (GLD) folder.
You will see a few files within this folder, one is your wallet.dat file which you DO NOT want to delete. Then delete all files in Goldcoin (GLD) except the wallet.dat and goldcoin.conf file.
Again you must start the client first. Then shut it down.
Take the files included here in the extracted .zip folder you downloaded and place them into the Goldcoin (GLD) folder, replacing everything without your wallet.dat and goldcoin.conf file.
I then restored the wallet %appdata% > Roaming> GoldCoin (GLD).
I am experiencing wallet restore issues after doing the above:
1) The wallet.dat file that appeared with the wallet download. I deleted this .dat file,
then retored my wallet with Wallet.dat file that has the coins in somehow the original wallet.dat keeps appearing in the wallet %appdata% > Roaming> GoldCoin (GLD). so i have the orignial wallet.dat that came with the download and the .dat that holds my coin. both in GoldCoin folder.
Please can anyone advise me, why do i keep seeing both wallet.dat which came with the wallet download & my coin wallet.dat that has holds my coins both in GoldCoin (GLD) folder despite deleting wallet.dat.
Note: I encrypted the wallet before placing the unzipped Bootleg file in Goldcoin (GLD) folder. Can this be an issue when despite deleting the wallet.dat keeps appearing in GoldCoin folder with my retore wallet.dat?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in Advance.
