Recommended ASIC Mining Equipment for Gold Club
« on: September 04, 2016, 03:12:03 PM »
Can someone recommend an equipment source and reliable configuration for mining Goldcoin?

Our friends at Gold Club would like to build a mining farm and are seeking advice from the community.

Maybe i can help a bit  :)

- i guess one point is to get a trustworthy merchant where you really get your Hardware.
- doing a market research about the actual scrypt miners which are purchasable and looking at the hardware reviews and comments on bitcointalk.

i ve stopped mining since one year because energy costs in germany went expensive, so i am a bit out of mining business actually in terms of scrypt asics and mining generally.

"Gridseed Scrypt Miner" is the last one i know.

I bought a 'used' ZeusMiner Lightning X6 one and a half years ago on eBay when nobody wanted to buy these things.
I had to do some changes, because the fans were too noisy and the plugs went hot.
The only reason, why I'm still using it (in Germany), is I don't have a meter in my flat. :D
It's right now mining another coin I won't mention. :)

Now there are better miners available like the KNC Titan or the A2 Terminator.
The ZeusMiner is no longer produced.
Observations and theory show that, on average, 28% of the binding-energy in aurophilic interaction can be attributed to relativistic expansion of the gold d-orbitals.   GLD E5CUw66jvPSGirggrek8vagARNM2ZQErEN

thats sounds like a good Idea  :)

Nigeria have a very good potential of using the Sun for producing Energy.

It depends on, where you want to set up the panels, then we can do further calculations  :)

- for example the region around Abuja have around 5000-5500 Wh/m2 thats very good  :)

About the A2 Terminator:

http://www.innosilicon.com/html/mining-asic/11.html

1st 28nm LTC ASIC but also the best. Its per chip performance has reached 1.8MHs at only 13W power consumption. which can allow for the unbeatable up to 150MHs per box performance within only 1KW power supply & very quiet fan cooling. That means one A2 ASIC will beat the best GPU Graphics card in the world by almost 2X performance yet consumes 40 times less power.

sounds good  :)

1kw = 1000 Watts Yikes anyway  :shock:

About KNC Titan:

http://www.kncminer.com/support/titan-setup-and-firmware

Details on Titan and Titan Cube:

Each ”Titan” batch 1 consists of 4 cubes + 1 controller card box. Batch 2 Titan miners consists of 5 cubes + controller board.

Each Titan miner runs 28nm chips, each chip comes in a sturdy enclosure and packaging, including fan cooling.

The performance of the batch 1 Titan miners is 300+ MH/s while consuming approx.
- 1100 Watts. Batch 2 Titan miners run at 400+ MH/s whilst consuming approximately 1400 Watts.

Power

The recommended PSU set up per Titan is 2 x 850w power supplies for batch 1 Titan miners and 3 x 850 watt power supplies for batch 2 Titan miners.

THX U  :)

I ve started a thread for this on the German Photovotaik section where i am still a member  :)

So there are a few more informations we need to know for a further plan.

1) Is the power grid 24 hours available on your Location ?

2) What do you have to pay for Energy on your Location ?

3) it is important to find the month with the smallest light irradiation, this will be the base of calculation.

4) Is there any Solar industry based in Africa ?

i want to thank all who have made an input to this thread. let me answer some of the question provided base on the suggestion of what we are requesting.

1. we do not have 24hrs power grid. that is why we are i talk about solar which will be backed up by inverters and generator to charge the inverters to provide 24hrs power .

2. when energy is there it is not too expensive, but i dont want to base my cal on energy in Nigeria it is very irregular. so the complete solar cost and the inverters will be what we can use to determine cost of energy. if the power comes fine it becomes a supplement if we must achieve complete 12 hrs or 24 hrs mining.

4. there is no solar industry in Nigeria  or plant . but we have engineers who can get the equipment and you pay for its set up. my younger brother is an engineer and he has been installing solar for the government to power the street light as the local power is not reliable.

what i want is the best recommended device and where can i get the mining device and like how much will this device or equipment cost.  with solar it will take care of other things.

A2 Terminator 110MH approx. 1200$ used // up to 4000$ new

KNC Titan (Batch-1)300MH-(Batch-2)470MH approx. 4000$/€

watched over Amazon Ebay Bitcointalk for actual prices related to the hardware above.

- So i can say here that the KNC Titan is 3x(B1) - 4x(B2) bigger in terms of hashing power, and normally the energy consumption for each hash gets more cost effective then.

- http://www.kncminer.com/  <-- They produce it, and normally it is the best when you buy it directly from them because of support afterwords, but i dont know if they have miners at stock.

running a KNC Titan Batch 2 will charge 33,6kw/h a day if we take the 1400W/h average,

- so you need 7 Panels to run it without a Battery, if one Panel provides around 212(250-15%)-250W
