My Wallet Wont Sync

I have downloaded the Goldcoin wallet onto my Mac computer, but i have left the application open on my mac for 3 days straight and the wallet still states it is out of sync

I have no MAC but you can try to create a 'goldcoin.conf' file in the same directory where your wallet.dat is (~/Library/Application Support/GoldCoin ?? )
First close your wallet, the go to the folder and create the file.
Add the following lines to the file;

addnode=24.54.97.47
addnode=107.161.23.121
addnode=149.202.121.129
Restart your wallet.

I took these nodes from https://www.goldcoin.org/pools-and-nodes/, hope they are still active.

If that doesn't work:  Do you have a firewall or any other kind of device that might prevent you from reaching out to the internet?  It doesn't look like your client is establishing connections indicating there may be something blocking it.  Can you test on any other device?

How do i create a file?

just create a text file in that folder and name it 'goldcoin.conf' (make sure the file extension is .conf)
open it with a text editor and put the addnodes lines in, save it
open your wallet

second option, try opening port 8121 in your router and point it to the ip where your wallet is running (Note, this is harder than creating a file  )
