Check the goldcoin.conf file for generate=1

If it is there remove it.

Mining & Pools / Re: Incomplete transactions Question.
« on: November 06, 2013, 02:34:37 AM »
The mined transactions were most likely rejected at a later point in time because they were found to be stale or orphans.

If you post your debug file here, we can take a look.  (Help | Debug Window | Open)

Unless something funny is going on, the only thing that can use 100% of the CPU in the client is the "Miner"

Technical Support / Re: Solo Mining problem
« on: November 06, 2013, 01:30:01 AM »
There is nothing you can do at this time.  Many are having this issue and it is part of the defense system.  The latest update had an updated difficulty retargeting algorithm which should be running optimally at block 103720 (about 5 to 6 hours from now).

Once 103720 passes, please let us know about your rejected rate.

What kind of transactions were unconfirmed?

Were they mined, sent or received?

The solo mining feature of the client is the slowest, but easiest way of mining.

Here is a guide relating to mining:

The estimated number of blocks will be taken from the most common block count from the connected peers.  In cases of no network connectivity, it will be based on the most recent checkpoint.

Given these two possibilities, it is likely that the estimated block count could be lower than the "current number of blocks" from time to time.

Thanks for the information.  We will be adding this to our pool list.

Great Pun here, about the new kid on the block.  That is a good one for the nerds to laugh about.

Nice 1. With the update to 1.07 it syncronized and runs perfectly smooth on my GNex.

Unfortunately, we discovered this morning that the app doesn't sync with the correct blockchain past 102999.  This will be fixed later today.

I like the feature were it calculates your GLD in USD, would like to see this feature in the desktop wallet as well!

This is a feature I would like to see as well.

The "Estimated total blocks"  may be based on the last checkpoint.  I can try to provide a better answer later today.

Something "weird" is going on with the GoldCoin Network, but in a few hours it will begin to resolve itself at block 103,000.  The development team has been working on solutions.

Technical Support / Re: Proper way to update software
« on: November 05, 2013, 01:15:56 AM »
There is no need to uninstall previous versions of the GoldCoin client before installing the latest update.

The wallet.dat file (which contains the wallet) is not deleted or over written by the GoldCoin installation program.

Nevertheless, it is always a good idea to backup your wallet.
