Title: Issues with Orphans

So, I just began mining for GLD last night, and in approximately 24 hours, I've managed to generate 36 coins, however I have 668 orphaned coins. My hashrate is about 500KH/s, so I feel like I should be generating over 800 coins per day. Am I doing something wrong?
