Title: In over my head: Selling 1gld.us
Post by: r3wt on June 08, 2013, 04:43:29 PM
Hey everybody, i took out a loan with a shady charachter here while back. this person has obtained my name and address since i am a month past scheduled payout is threatening to take out a credit card in my name. he says i have 1 more month as a grace period or he is gonna [beep] my world up financially.

Here's the skinny:
 I only owe .4 btc on my original loan, I'm at 1/8th of that roughly (~.05) in my account So i am attempting to sell the faucet and domain 1gld.us. with purchase you will get free webhosting from namecheap and the keys to the ftp account and of course the transfer of the domain. have never sold a domain so we may need an escrow service or atleas someone experienced in domain name transfers. i know how to generate the EPP code but im not sure what to do after that. Anyway, this will be a straightforward auction. State you price in this thread, no pms. this to avoid  bets that are under the current high. the bidding will start at 500 GLD.

1...2 .... 3... GO!

Why don't you offer to place banners or text links on the site? I'm sure you could offer something to raise the funds you need that way. Even if you have BTC or LTC sites.  I think the best thing to do is sell as many text links as you can for a set price for so many months etc. That way you get to keep the site.

Well for an idea ask microguy if he'd like to place a link on the page to help promote the forum.

And to help you get started  if you want, How much for a text link to my site? billsart.webs.com I only add some of my paintings now and then. But you never know I might accept GLD for a painting if someone offered enough.

I will start the bidding then.

500

You can just push the domain to me at namecheap.  I am bidding on the domain and the files with the code for the faucet.

I have a question. Is your Faucet for GLD or BTC? I put my GLD address in and went to page for BTC coins.

ok, auction is moving to BTC. pay me the bitcoin equivalent of 8.65 US dollars and the domain name + all files  is yours. if  you pay me an extra 25 then i will continue to host the domain name for a year.

Meanwhile over at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=231217.0

then there's https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?PHPSESSID=omg1u2a07shbarmv84n4ku25p7&action=search2

and surprise surprise there's this gem --> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=215478.0 (kr4x any relation to r3wt ?)

kr4x is of no relation to me moron. i still have the domain if anyone wants it and i will push it to you at namecheap. we will have to agree on a fair price, since the domain name has already been used for part of the year it is registered for. ok, i pulled up my namecheap account and it expires on Sat 05/24/2014. it was registered on 05/24/2013. that means that there is somewhere around 8 months left until it has to be re registered for another year. apparently there is some sell on namecheap right now for .us domains, so they are only worth 2.98 unfortunately for me. this is obviously much less than i paid for it but i guess i will be willing to settle for whatever i can get out of it. if you are interested, let me know. my name is r3wt on bitcointalk forums if you can't reach me here.
