Can someone here please explain to me why there are such a high number of orphaned blocks? I'm looking at the block stats on http://gld.cryptcoins.net/ and all I see are orphaned blocks. I am currently solo mining and have had at least 3 blocks today that were accepted but shortly afterward showed up with a question mark and a status of not accepted. I'm still new to all of this so I am trying to get a grasp as to the how and why's of GLD mining. Any clarification that anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Read here: https://www.gldtalk.org/index.php?topic=618.0 TL;DR: after block 117,000 everything will stabilize to a reasonable level. This should be within the next 3 days.

We are currently in the middle of a forking update.
This update addresses an issue which is causing mining difficulty to be improperly calculated. The new difficulty code kicks in at block 117000 in about 36 hours from now, or so. Then there will be an adjustment period of about 3 days as the difficulty re-calibrates.
Once this process is complete, mining performance should be improved.

Got it. It's been very frustrating watching coins come in only to be removed minutes later. I've also had at least one block accepted that never even showed up in the transaction log. Now that I understand what's going on I will remain patient. Thanks again for the quick responses. So far I'm really liking the support of the GLD community.
