All of those who are mining at gld.cloudmines.net (http://gld.cloudmines.net) - if you make at least 1 transaction to your wallet you will be eligible for a bonus payment. Bonus payments are randomly selected to our active miners, below is a list of previous winners. Names will be repeated for multiple wins, everyone is eligible! Please keep in mind that payout amounts will vary by week depending on pool productivity.

Congrats to amesh321, technomage, LightScribe, sciaga001, and manto - you have all been sent bonus coins, they were transferred directly to your wallet! Thanks to you the pool is slowly growing, keep it up and I will give out more next week!
-
Thanks CircuitSix!!! I hope the pool continues to grow!
-
Thank you!
-
Just started mining... not much hashrate since it's on my gaming pc (Nvidia). Still waiting on my mining rig components...
How do I get in on the bonus payout? ;D
-
Just be an active miner, payouts will be randomly selected weekly.
-
Nice. I really like the interface and how I can monitor it.
Just a question. How does the payout work? My first time using a pool so... I have coins in unconfirmed box. I'm assuming this will become confirmed down the road? I did set up an auto withdraw at 5GLD just to test out how it worked. Nothing in my wallet yet.
Also, how do you interpret these:
Round Shares Submitted shares since last found block (ie. round shares)
Est. Shares 20134 (done: 160.27%)
Pool Valid 32269
Your Valid 3389
Pool Invalid 595 (1.81%)
Your Invalid 58 (0.18%)
GLD Estimates
Block 4.7261
Fees 0.0473
Donation 0.0000
Payout 4.6788
Thanks again!

So the unconfirmed balance are the blocks that were found and your portion of them. Once the found block has been validated 120 times the balance will move into your confirmed balance where you can then withdraw them. It does take several hours for the block to confirm so just be patient.
The next information on Round Shares displays the estimated number of shares that it will take to find the next block. Remember this is just an estimate based off of the last several rounds. The information shows how many shares the entire pool has submitted as well as how many valid/invalid shares have been submitted. These values will reset each time a new block is found.
The GLD Estimates shows the estimated amount you will earn for the current round as long as the next block found is validated and not an orphan (not part of the block chain).
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the explanation! Can't wait to get my parts so I can contribute to the pools.

Thank you CircuitSix for the bonus! As well as a solid pool not to put any of the others down as but thus far yours runs the best out of all the others I have tried since joining GoldCoin kudos for a great pool and glad I can help contribute!

My mining rigs are still not here due to UPS network issue crap >:(
But I've been really happy with this mining pool so far. I haven't used any other, but I think this one is great!

Thanks sizzflair! Hope you get your equipment in soon, cant wait to see what kind of hashing power it puts out.
On a side note I am making some improvements to the site, I cant give many details at the moment as it is a "work in progress" and I am not sure if it will work yet. Hopefully everyone sticks around to see the future changes.

8) Thanks man that was quite awesome of you.
I don't know if any of the work you're doing on the pool is web design/graphic related but if so, I'd be glad to help! I helped toss together the basic layout for gldmarket.com for bustingbuster - I'd be down to continue to help anyone with other gld related projects.
Thanks again!

Well finally got them up, but I'm having trouble on both of my rigs.
Each card mines fine at around 820-840 kh/s. However, everytime I try to run cgminer with 3 or 4 GPUs the computer shuts down after a few seconds of opening cgminer. This is happening on BOTH of my rigs >:(
I have Lepa 1600w and all of my risers are powered. Any ideas?
-
How many cards on one rig? How long before it shuts down?
-
Check windows event log. Control panel - administrative tools.
-
What windows/linux your run?
How many cards per machine?
Sounds like power failure to me.
-
Doing some troubleshooting still. I think I figured out the problem.
Running 4 cards each, 1600w PSU. I was overloading on each rail... so I distributed it all. Running one card at a time so I can rule out any issues regard hardware and dial in the most stable cgminer. Card 1 is running right now and it's hashing at about 820kh.
Circuitstix: just curious... why is my hashrate on your pool server higher than what I see on cgminer?

The server can only estimate hash rates based on how many shares are submitted and it is averaged over 10 minutes, it will tend to fluctuate.
-
Still jealous of the setup hope you get it all ironed out bud! I have a buddy who's looking to buy into the R9s as soon as they come back in stock lol
-
Thanks for the explanation CircuitSix. Another question: What's the star next to a name mean?
GPU #1 ran good at 820kh/s for 8 hours. Testing GPU #2!
-
The star tells that he/she/it is donating to the pool =)

Is that over clocked or stock settings? Also what was your cgminer configuration?

Stock clocks and memory except gpu boost of 20 percent. Still messing around with the cgminer settings but I might see what gpu boost of 0 might do to hash rate vs power consumption

I see your hash rate increasing, very nice ;D

Yea. I was able to get 3 GPUs running all at the same time now. However, getting an issue running a 4th. I think my second pcie 1x lane is bad. It crashes everytime I run it on that particular pcie lane.
If my other motherboard (same setup) is showing the same symptom then this cheapo motherboard can only run 3 x r9 290s at a time. It's actually probably not a bad idea since my psu won't be running at max and I won't have to worry about tripping the fuse or surge protector at 1600+ watts. SO if I can only run 3 x r9 290s... then I'll run the two rigs and build myself a nice 2 x 290 gaming computer to replace mine and mine when I'm at work or sleep on that particular computer. Might even think about going watercooled to keep the noise down but, if it's only running when I'm away then it won't matter I guess. It would probably annoy the hell out of whoever is going to be in my office though.
Once I have everything set, expect some donations from me for running an awesome pool and supporting GLD 8)
-
Well good news and bad news:
Got the other rig set up and went straight to 4 gpu to test it for the best.
It's running! All 4 at 820+kh/s per card and max of 80C (getting higher now that the room is getting warmer haha). I'm going to run it for a full day to see if it's stable.
If it is stable, then the bad news is that the first motherboard's pcie 1x #2 is bad. Contact Newegg I guess for a RMA? Hoping to see if there's an option for advance RMA for the motherboard to minimize downtime (I've already had enough downtime!)
I'll update you all tomorrow 8)
-
I see it mining away at a very impressive rate, congrats on getting the one rig up, sorry about the bad MB though.
-

Well it happens... I'll either RMA and get a new board or sell the 290 for $150 more than what I bought it for and the powered risers are a premium nowadays.
Decisions decisions...
Circuitsix: Donations set for 1% ;D I'm happy that the second rig is good!

Hmm... just got some orphans now. I guess 51% defense kicking in?

newbie question.
what is orphaned? i got this once.

Orphans/Invalids
Even though the odds are so high to solve a block, there is a potential for two clients to submit a winning share at the same time. When this happens, the network chooses the definitive winner. The loser's block is then orphaned from the blockchain and declared invalid. Invalid blocks are a rare occurrence, but it does happen

Damn that sucks about the board, I think I have to RMA mine as well, the 1st 1x PCIe slot is messed up (partially my fault) had to do the pin A1 to B17 mod on it and well the pins inside the slot arent making good contact with the inserted card/riser :( Gonna try to fix it myself first otherwise see about RMA ugh.
Also are you planning to unlock your R9 290 stream processors to the R9 290x's? I did this with my 6950 to 6970 went from 1408 to 1536 stream procs and upped my hash rate for free (no heat/no extra power!) Here's just one link about the 290s and how to do go from 2560 to 2816! Ignore the brand as they all are done the same way.

Yea I ended up doing an advanced RMA. Newegg will ship me (hopefully) the new motherboard in 3 days. I'll assemble it and make sure it works then send mine over.
I looked into unlocking the 290s and I guess the new batches of 290s can't be unlocked. I checked my cards and they cannot be unlocked according to the Hawaii software... oh well. Once I get the motherboard replaced, I'll start tweaking the settings a little bit and update the bios on all of my cards. People are getting close to 900kh/s on these 290s right now running around 380-390w
At least the cool thing I did today was to buy myself my first bitcoin! It dropped hard so I snatched one (just to play with) below $700. Now it's rising ;D

Hmm... just got some orphans now. I guess 51% defense kicking in?
Our pool is about 1/10th to 1/8th of the network so I dont think we have to worry about 51% YET :)
We have had 223 valid and only 3 orphans since the beginning, I would say we are doing pretty well. It is amazing to me that I go to sleep and when I wake up the pool size doubles.
I am thinking about making an additional pool for another coin, any ideas on what you all would like to see? Please do not say Dogecoin

Gotcha :) What was the thing you were trying to improve for the pool?
Can't really think of other pools at the moment or any other currency I like besides bit, lite, and goldcoin.

I really like this pool, only pool with good connection/ms all other pool wich is located in US have bad connection /ms for me =)

Good to hear, I am working on an interface design change to make it stand apart from other pools and hopefully a bit easier to navigate. This will take some time however as it is a very tedious process and I want to make sure that the functionality works before making it live. With any luck (work) I will have it completed by the beginning of 2014.
If there are any suggestions of what you would like to see in the new design please let me know, I will do my best to incorporate it.

I think it's pretty good right now and I have no issues of navigating (it might just be me getting used to it though). I think maybe a "help" page that explains what each parameters mean would be very helpful. I still have a lot of questions regarding share rate, etc. that I've been googling around.
-
The new pool is up! Let me know what you think of the new design.
-
I like it alot.
Is there possible to make the theme/css to auto adjust to the size of the browser, if you know what I mean?
-
Looks awesome man! Great work!
Will stick with your pool forever ;D
However, you increased the TX fee to 1.1 from 0.5? :-\
Just FYI, got my killawatt meter to see how much wattage my 4 x r9 290s are using. 1350 avg at stock voltages for all. Looks like I have plenty of overclock room left 8)

I was working on doing that, the problem is with the charts as they dont like to resize too well :( I will be playing with it on my test server to get it formatted as best as possible though, was in a bit of a rush to get it out there :)
Sizzflair: I didn't change anything with the transmit fee, I will look into it to see if something changed. That is great news about your rig, it is already impressive with the enormous hash rate.

Nevermind, disregard what I said. It was 1.1 total of what I've paid so far. Read it wrong ;D

I'm sad now I used to hold the top slot on this server for hash rate (even though Im not that high in retrospect) then Sizzflair came along and left me in the dust haha. All in good fun, great to hear and see what them 290s are pumping out for khash rates and power consumption, was that number for all 6 cards correct?
-
CircuitSix I'll let ya know bout the changes when I get off of work, can't access site here due to restrictions/firewall. I think I saw the changes briefly before I came in when I checked via my Nexus 10 tablet (but wasnt sure if I logged in as the desktop site or the mobile - I normally login as desktop site so it probably was the changes but just in case) either way favorite of the GLD pools thus far without a doubt, once I am more established (still a newb myself) I'll gladly increase my donations on top of regular fees above what it is currently.

Haha competition is always a good thing. But it's a pool and we're all helping each other out 8) My replacement motherboard should be coming in tomorrow so I can add my 8th card for that extra boost of kh/s. Can't wait!
No 1350w is for 4 cards only. I was thinking it would be in the 1500s but it wasn't the case. Don't think I'll overclock it just to get that extra 50kh/s

Do that shader unlock first if you havent, wont increase wattage consumption at all and free khash, my 6950s went from 320ish stock to like 420 I think it was, and then I OC them to pull a solid 480 off each card!

@CircuitSix - Ok so I was looking at the new layout yesterday definitely stands out from the other basic ones. Only difference is now on my tablet I have to use the Mobile version of the site as it doesn't play nice with the top bar drop downs :( No biggie thats the only real negative for me but not enough to make a worry its still perfectly functional. I tend to do alot of surfing/work from laptop if I want pretty I can just Remote to a Desktop and pull it that way lol.
Thanks for the work ya are doing though!

Replacement motherboard didn't solve the issue of not being able to run 4gpus. Same exact issue and I've made sure it wasn't the riser or the gpu. The pcie lanes are all fine and everything runs smoothly on 3 gpus regardless of pcie lanes i use. Maybe it's the psu... :/ I guess another rma is in the works lol
I ended up sticking the r9 290 into my gaming rig and took the gtx 670 ftw+ out for sale in the mean time haha. Unexpected upgrade!

Msi g46. Problem was not being able to run 4 gpus at a time. My second motherboard runs 4gpus no problem. Thought it was the pcie 1x being bad so got a new one through rma. I believe it might be the psu.

This is a diagram of the mod I was talking about but if you have 4 cards running on the exact same setup I don't see it being the problem. When you say not being able to run 4 at a time can you detail what is happening? PSU would let 4 run then either crash system when they tried to go full power once cgminer revved up. Also are your risers powered or non? Just trying to help isolate the problem avoid swapping parts to RMA that might not be necessary.

I've concluded that it's the PSU. I think the 12v5 rail is bad since my computer will crash when I have a GPU running on that particular rail. I tried different risers and GPUs... everything works fine and it's my second motherboard.

I messed up a pcie 1x port initially and got a wild hair to try and repair, didn't seem to fix it and I've given up trying lol sadly this is now a 3 GPU system so I moved the 4th card to a different system. Couple months hopefully the 290 price wars will fall and I can get some of those that aren't marked up 100+ what they were supposed to be.

Just as a FYI, I was asked via support email why the pool charges fees. The short answer is to pay for the server and ensure that the pool is available and fast at all times. The remainder of the fees are returned to the pool in the form of giveaways, so the more we mine the more is returned to the community.
Donations on the other hand are sitting nicely in my wallet :) thanks to everyone who donates.
As always if anyone has any suggestions for the pool let me know.

Thanks CircuitSix you sure are one active pool manager and your pool and site are top notch.

Thanks Irish
I will be updating the server tonight so I am estimating about 10 minutes downtime to do so. The following will occur:
1. Complete system backup
2. Additional RAM resources added
3. Database enhancements to improve speed.
As a precaution please make sure that if you have confirmed coins that they are withdrawn. I do not expect any problems with the upgrade, it is just better safe then sorry. I will be posting this announcement on the site as well. Update will occur around 10pm EST ;D

Pool will be coming back up soon, backups are almost complete.

Bonus payouts are happening tonight, just be an active miner with at least one transaction to your wallet to be eligible. Winners chosen at random.

Which gpu? What went wrong with it?

Msi GTX780 Tf, it has a lot of artifacts and keeps the drivers crashing. Hopefully it will be a quick turnaround. I will make the bonus payments tomorrow from my laptop.

Hmm that's not good. Was it overclocked?
My rig (4gpu) went down for a bit while I was troubleshooting. It kept freezing and crashing. Reinstalled the os and made sure all the drivers are up to date including the gpu vbios. Running smooth now and crossing my fingers that the problem is solved.
Rma for the psu is submitted as well. Can't wait to get my gaming pc back lol
-
It was overclocked, nothing crazy though. I think it was bad from the start because I would get random crashes when gaming, the artifacts confirms it now.

Hey is there a possibility that you'll add transactions on the mobile site? It's something I check frequently and doesn't have it on my phone. Also, not sure if it's just me but the graphs don't work. Just shows me numbers.
-
So on that if I connect from mobile prior to logon I can see on the left of page all the statistics page links if pool block etc. Once I login they disappear and I have to use the top bar menu but it doesn't play nice on mobile platform (androids at least) if we could make that persistent after login that would help or get added into the actual mobile version of site and I wouldn't have to request desktop version while on mobile. Either or works for me.

I agree with the login. If i dont leave it on dashboard, it logs out. Thankfully my chrome browser saves the info but it gets annoying having to login again and again. ;D

I will look into adding the transactions to the mobile site, this is a good suggestion, just have to wait to get my gpu back. The graphs I may end up having to completely rework, for some reason they are being very particular :(

The session times out when there is no activity as a security feature, between session times and the use of a pin it prevents unauthorized use of your account. I may add a feature in the future which will allow you to select how long to keep you logged in for (hour, day, forever...), this way it can be up to the user.

No problem. Thanks for listening to us and working hard on the pool. Feels good to donate :)
Im still having issues with my 4 gpu rig locking up/freezing randomly. Maybe it just doesnt like to be running on 4 gpus... maybe mobo problem. Ill see if the usb wireless card is the issue (got a pci network card inbound) or try running at 8gb ram instead of 4 and if its not then ill just run 3 gpus each and run 2 gpus in the gaming rig... frustrating and more money i keep throwing into the pit.

Have you tried updating your BIOS? I found that resolved crashes with my old setup.

Well setx is not an issue since it's already enabled and checked.
I thought it may be a faulty gpu (the one that kept crashing was gpu 0) so I swapped it with the gpu I had in my gaming rig, which was running overclocked for a day or two without hiccups at 880kh/s. Nope.
It's running happily right now again, but it's so random... I check once in a while and it frustrates me when it dies and I have to go and hard reset again.
If the PCI network card doesn't fix that (coming it tomorrow), then I'm just going to say it's my mobo or my psu. Then gonna stick the 2 gpus in my gaming rig and run in while I'm not using it. I'm not gaming on my pc much nowadays anyway... but I will need to upgrade my PSU, which is extra $$$ >:( It only has a 650w from 3 years ago haha. Looking for a cheap corsair/seasonic 850+ gold/platinum ones out there right now.
-
Our pool has been growing nicely, over 1/4 of the entire network hash rate :D
One downside is that the GoldCoin Daemon seems to be very CPU intensive, hoping the new version is a bit easier on the hardware.

Meh I have seen these at $100 or so before... :P
I have a feeling that one of my pcie extender is bad. Trying some different combinations to sort them out. I ended up taking everything apart and rebuilding again and now it's more tidy. I have one GPU running without a riser to ensure no psu overloading. Crossing my fingers! So if it checks out, then I just have a faulty PSU and a faulty pcie riser (1x).

Yea I been noticing NewEgg has been on a run of price fixing lately not just with the R9s but alot of their other stock... Starting to piss me off they are succumbing to greed cant blame them I guess people are paying still.
I think Im gonna grab some of these newer style risers I like the USB cable connection adds more ability to get creative with installs over the older ribbon cable design. Lil more pricey but lil more classy to I guess lol.

Those are pretty sweet! I could probably make better use of my shelves with these and be able to add on a 3rd rig if I wanted to. However, I'm worried more USB may lead to instability for some setups. I know I've had some issues with my USB (especially my usb wireless network card) so I went and purchased pci wireless network cards. Shipping from China as well... who knows when they'll get here.

Its just USB for the cable type not the actual USB channel and all that basically replaces ribbon cable with USB cable to conduct the transport between GPU and pcie lanes

I need to update stratum soon to the latest version. There seems to be a problem where either the block height or shares not being recorded correctly and at times the block completion rises very high, sometimes into the 1000's. This is easily corrected with manual intervention but I am hoping the new stratum corrects this.
I am planning to do this either tonight or sometime this weekend. I should be able to complete it with very minimal downtime, hopefully less than 10 minutes.
The one question I have with this is if anyone would like to be able to set their own difficulty?
-
I would like to be able to set my own, thanks in advance.
-
Explain the difficulty part for me.
-
So right now Stratum changes the difficulty or the amount of work per share based on your current hash rate. It aims to increase or decrease the difficulty so that you submit one share every 30 seconds. If I allow custom difficulty settings you could control how many shares you submit over a set amount of time. Keep this in mind though, if you set a low difficulty you may submit 100 shares in 30 seconds but those 100 shares may not equal one ACTUAL share. Where as a high difficulty with only 3 shares submitted may equal one actual block share.
When difficulty is low a true share can be broken into parts so that slower miners can complete shares without having to do it all in 30 second chunks.
Hope this makes sense, best way I know how to explain it.
-----
Now a word of caution. If difficulty is set too high then the submitted shares may end up being stale and not accepted, otherwise invalid. The new stratum will ban workers that submit too many invalids, this prevents attacks on the pool. So it should only be set if the user knows what difficulty produces the best results for them personally, otherwise stratum can figure it out on its own. You can squeak out a few extra shares doing a custom difficulty but it is a little more riskier.

Thanks for the explanation. I think it's fine as is for me since it's taken care of and I want to mine without having to tweak it constantly.
Speaking of which... my replacement psu finally came so happily mining on 2 4gpu rigs now! Crossing my fingers for for stability since I also ended up replacing the wireless network card from usb to pci. Much faster network speed now

Sad? You should be happy! Donating and contributing to the pool = more bonus payoffs for you guys :)

I think #3 or #4 would be cool. I like more winners here 8)
One question I had though... I realized the increase in querytime over the past few weeks. They used to be around 30-60 back in the day and now they are reaching 200ms. Does this affect the way we are mining and how? I also noticed a big decrease in my payout per round, but I think that's mostly due the decrease of shares that I've been getting with new miners coming in even though the difficulty hasn't changed at all.... or is it the querytime that's affecting it?
-
The query time is affected by the number of users and the amount of shares being processed. If there is a lot of miners at low difficulty this will tend to increase the query time, less than 400ms or so should not really impact mining, I am trying to make sure we never go above 200ms but in order to increase performance I would need to upgrade the server. At the moment the pool does not make enough for me to justify the increase in cost.
On the other hand I have been making tweaks to the database to increase performance. I may end up opening a donation option and if it works out I can upgrade even more, we will just have to see how things go.
I will always keep the query time visible, be wary of sites that have this hidden as it typically means very high query time and poor performance. Once I upgrade the stratum we should see an increase in performance as well.
-
Thanks for the explanation. I don't mind donating, but I do mind leechers. If there was a separate pool with only the dedicated miners who do donate for a better server, then I'd be in... but at least I'm still mining.
-
A dedicated pool server is not a bad idea for those that would like a private mining experience, it would just need to have enough users to justify it. I am waiting for a certain hosting provider to launch their next round of servers, their cost/performance ratio is very good and if I can manage to snatch up a couple of them I believe CloudMines will be one of the fastest most reliable hosts around. I am still grateful for the support of all the miners, we have not been around that long but we are slowly making a name for ourselves and I hope to eventually become one of the largest pool providers out there with multiple stratum servers and load balanced servers. We will just have to see where the future takes us.

The winners are in and thanks to everyone for helping to make CloudMines one of the top pools for mining GLD! This past week was highly productive for the pool and allowed us to make our largest payouts yet. We give back all the coin not used in maintenance of the server to our miners in the form of a weekly giveaway. Donations are the only coin that is kept from the pool, the rest is always given back.
Here are this weeks winners:
griffga, sizzflair, goldcoin, gcshuffle, irishtr, gaz, thehappyface, Vikerus, yhassin, paxshannara, cryptobill, DanD, malogldc, boatman4
A total of 14 winners were sent 20 GLD each! Make sure to check your wallets.
-
Cheers CircuitSix!
-
Sweet!
-
CloudMines now has about 2/3 of the entire network!
-
That's nuts. I've been noticing its been fluctuating between 25-33%. ( Pretty sure you meant 1/3 unless I missed something ) Sometime in the next couple weeks I'm gonna order some more video cards if i can find them in stock and hopefully I'll be contributing more :)
-
We were at 60MH today with a network rate of 80MH, only lasted for an hour or so.
-
According to Msi my video card should be here on Monday. This means my workstation will finally be running again and the upgrade to stratum will be happening soon.
-
Thank you!
-
I feel like I can breathe again! Just got my video card back, slapped it into my computer and did some test mining. Pleased to say it is hashing away although at slightly lower than before. After I get my fix of Kerbal Space Program I will begin working on updating the pool some more.

Nice! I'm very happy that my rigs have been running 24/7 for about a week now without any intervention. I hope it keeps chugging along since I'll be gone the whole month of February... I'm trying to get CGwatcher to work but it seems to give me errors, when I can mine with a .bat file without issue. Perhaps it just needs to be patched for the new R9 series cards.

Alright, the giveaway will be happening again this Friday! Make sure to let anyone you know that is interested in getting into crypto mining that they can get some free coin just by getting started. In addition I will give 5 GLD to the next 20 people who like the facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/cloudmines.net) or follow us on Twitter (https://twitter.com/intent/user?screen_name=cloudminesnet). Simply do one or both and either post your GLD address on the CloudMines Facebook Page or after following tweet @cloudminesnet with your gld address and the hashtag #GoldCoin.
If anyone is particularly handy with html/css/javascript and feels like contributing to the pools design and layout please shoot me a PM or leave a message here!
-
I have a favor to ask of our miners. I just launched a GoldCoin Faucet for people looking to get into the best crypto coin out there. Please help me in funding the faucets wallet, I put out 230 GLD of my own supply to get it started.
Also make sure to tell everyone you know, we can get people started in this very quickly! GoldCoin Faucet (http://gldfaucet.com)

I am looking for a beta tester, if you are interested in giving me a hand please PM me your skype name. The beta testing is for a new, completely redesigned pool and interface. A lot of hours has gone into this, the only requirement I ask is that you do not discuss any of the pool features until it goes live.
The development is still in very rough shape, no payment will be given, it just gives you the opportunity to see what is coming. You will need to be available via Skype and able to provide feedback on certain functionality. The new system is using GoldCoin as the client so if you happen to mine anything you will be able to keep it assuming all works correctly.
-
I would love to help you out but I'll be gone for a whole month of February so I won't be able to monitor/provide feedback.
How long do you need the tester for?
-
We received a support email concerning occurrences of the pool finding a block with 0 shares, when this occurs it appears as though the pool is not processing. What occurs is due to the 51% protection that is inherent to GoldCoin. What you will see when this happens is that the completed % will continue to rise and unconfirmed payouts will not appear to work. Ultimately the processing of shares and the finding of blocks still continue but processing of them halts until we correct it. Please be assured that all blocks and payments will be processed once we manually correct the problem. This is a condition that affects all GoldCoin pools and we are currently working with development team to try and find a solution to this. Please contact us using the support option if you have any questions, be sure to leave a valid email address if you would like a response.

It should only be for an hour or so at random intervals. A lot of big changes are coming, I have ordered a custom server with some pretty hefty specs and high quality DDoS protection. The new server will be online in a few days as it is being custom built, to give you an idea of what we are moving from->
| Old | | New | |
| CPU | 4 Core | CPU | 8 Core |
| RAM | 8 GB | RAM | 64GB |
| HDD | 1x80GB SSD | HDD | 2x120GB SSD RAID |
Just to name some of the major differences. It has a faster backbone as well. What this all means is that I can develop a better, faster interface and mining experience. I am including a teaser of what I have been working on below:
The beta testing will need to check features and functionality, suggest new ideas and design considerations. It is not all that much really but can help in shaping the next generation pool.
-
IMPORTANT: Please make sure you change your password, there was an attempt to access multiple user accounts, as far as we can tell there was no breech. It is advised that you change your password to something complex to deny any type of attack. The system is protected by a PIN as well so it will be VERY difficult for anyone to gain access to your funds. Just as a precaution make sure to update your password!

Thanks, the CSS in this design will be a lot better, the menu even collapses at smaller resolutions and there will be a site map at the bottom so you wont need to use the collapsible menus.

Due to my current work schedule I have not been doing the weekly giveaway. I will resume this next Friday once I get home.
