Everyone concentrating on Bitcoin.

Glad to be back in fiat; still holding my Goldcoins though! :)

I saw the chart of every coin at marketcap.
I found that new altcoin always run against bitcoin while older and stabler altcoins almost following bitcoin's bull & bear.
I bought many gld at 0.4 a few days ago and sell at about 0.8. Now lower again, play again. :D

New coins that do this are producing billions of coins.  It's real easy to get a month or two of attention this way when all you have to do is sell a few coins to get a fake [beep] market cap.   Wait until all the suckers figure that out.

I'm thinking of creating a coin with 100 trillion units so when I buy just 1 coin for 1 cent, my coin will have a higher marketcap than bitcoin.

If this continues, it may be time to dump coinmarketcap.com as a valid metric.

It is sad at the amount of new coins coming to the market, it seems to be getting more and more diluted with scamcoins, still cannot believe the success of dogecoin.

It's no success.. their client doesn't even work most hours of the day - good luck connecting to another node.

Most of these coins have values drawn from thin air.. they will not last.

On GLD related news,

I've begun work on a brand new custom coded client.

The bitcoin client no longer meets our needs.

Be patient and keep mining GLD.. (i'm willing to bet it's going to be worth a lot soon).

I have a lot of faith in goldcoin, have a pool running with a pretty dedicated group of miners, only about 1/5 of the network hash rate at the moment but more than enough to find plenty of blocks.

Maybe you could answer this questions, why does the rpc client timeout after a block is found? I havent had a chance to review the source for gld yet but it hammers stratum and my db when it happens.

There are two "threads" in the newest client that process messages, whenever a new block is found, one of those threads is suspended..

The other one continues to function whilst this goes on but refuses to accept any new blocks until after that thread is resumed (block is broadcast).

The newest client shouldn't lag when a new block is found.. if it does you may be using the older daemon or something else is going on for you.

Anyhow, the client I'm currently working on is coded from scratch by myself and should address any issues you may have.

I have faith in gld... we just have to perfect it and spread the word. Crypto currency is still at a very early stage. Hoping in 1 or 2 years it will catch on even more and GLD will rise if everyone figures out that it's better than the rest and actually be used as an alternative to physical gold.

Dogecoin seems like a big bubble. Don't envy.
Goldcoin has a much better base.

We last for not a short period of time and now it is just starting to flourish.

We have too few members cuz we are not promoting well (probably...).
As the time goes by, we will come through all the obstacles while many other "bubbles" are breaking.

After long time, people will notice that there is a great coin called Goldcoin which really worth to hold and use.

Just keep the faith, see this as an investment. And try to get people know and join us.

I'm not worried about Gold, it is a good long term investment.

As soon as Bitcoin situation is clarified. Up we go!

Just curious though... compared to most coins, we are seeing big drops in GLD. Wonder why?

Looks like we had someone sell 50K Goldcoins about two hours ago. That brought the price down a bit.

What we could use right now is a little more buying and a little less selling. (:D)

Absolutely. And in that regard, a friend of mine will shortly be turning c$1k into GoldCoin (having received some salient investment advice, of course!).

It's a great time to buy.

Bought another 100000 gld in the last 24 hours, even sold some wdc to buy (my main holding).  I hope the price drops a bit more, enjoyed buying in the 0.000008 btc days.  Best of luck to everyone.a
