I am trying to setup the rpc feature on my pc's goldcoin wallet but it never seems to work. I have tried changing nany different settings such as: username, password, port, allowed ip, ect. Has anyone else had a problem with this?
Here is my goldcoin.conf file (I changed to username and password):

* I am running golcoin threw a proxy (using a third party application) but I dont think this is restricting the rpc server because it is hosting (port 8121) for the goldcoin network itself.
Any help is appreciated.

Why are you specifying port 8300 in your config file?

I set 8300 because I was trying to check if the port number I was using was an issue. That port configeration only applies to the RPC server thus does not prevent me from connecting to the goldcoin network(connecting to the goldcoin network is not an issue). Other than that no real reason. Also note i want to goldcoin wallet threw the localhost ip (127.0.0.1) no external connections are required at this point. Has any features of the bitcoin wallet been removed from the goldcoin wallet such as the RPC server?

The Goldcoin wallet contains a fully functional server/daemon.
The reason I asked about the port is because you stated your proxy was setup to use port 8121 but your config file listed port 8300. By default the Goldcoin RPC service uses port 8122. I would suggest checking your proxy setup and firewall settings.

Ok, I tried what you suggested and removed some options that did need to be there (found on a bitcoin wiki) but I still can seam to get it to work. The proxy is local so whatever it allowed for the computer is allowed for the proxy and goldcoin wallet. I also tested the goldcoin wallet without the proxy and it didn't help.
New config file.

Do you have the RPC server working?

Problem solved! My config file was named gldcoin.conf that was one of the problems.i will write about how to set up the rpc server and create a web based wallet when I get more time. Thank you Microguy for your help.

Glad you got it working! Great news! :D
A lot of people have asked about an online wallet. That would be excellent.
