MODERATOR NOTE: This exchange is offline as of January 2016.
To celebrate https://cryptsy.com GLD/BTC and LTC/BTC trade pairs both now active. I made our Goldcoin family a Cryptsy avatar.

-
Big Vern is looking into possible issues with the wallet server. It should return shortly.
-
No, I don't think we lost anything. Here are what the admins are saying from the chat box:
gnode: @donvincenzoo664: GLD temporarily suspended, it will be back.
pr9me: i've notified Vern about GLD
gnode: @donvincenzoo664: yes no coins will be lost.
gnode: @donvincenzoo664: unfortunately this happens sometimes.
Could this be due to the mining problems?

Could this be due to the mining problems?
Please see my reply above.
-
As I see all pools recive orphans now not 1 single is accepted ?
-
Blocks are being found according to GLD explorer.
When price spiked more hashpower was thrown on GLD pools. The hashrate just was to high on some pools.
You can only mine 6 blocks max in 10 mins. With all the hashpower on pools we were mining 10s of blocks in 10 minute. Security will only allow 6 blocks and the rest will be rejected.
-
its like one of the most profitable coins at the moment to mine
-
Anyone else see what I am seeing? Thanks!

yes.

Thanks for the response. I as well do not show my balance anymore on cryptsy. I see a related site had a database issue, I wonder if the same is happening here? Just goes to show the need for an offline local wallet. Hope the coins come back soon....

Storing coins in a local offline wallet can be a good idea if done properly. As far as Cryptsy, as a safeguard their system prevents customers from accessing their online wallets during periods of paused trading. The coins are safe.
Akumaburn has examined the network and blockchain and was unable to find any anomalies that would impact transactions or trading. We will provide further updates as the situation develops. Thank you. :)

Let's have a party! ;D

Woohooo! (http://i.imgur.com/6GOwkqD.gif)

Nice to see so many backing Goldcoin.
-
I freaked out for a second when it was gone -- glad it's back!
-
All of this are essentially growing pains.

I agree with you.

I wanted to see how long it would take to deposit 10 GLD into my cryptsy.com account, so with the GLD wallet I send 10GLD.
The deposit hasn't shown up at Cryptsy so I check
http://gld.cryptocoinexplorer.com/tx/593446f3d13c0689ee7450fc5f26b51f07d80bc06f98eaf9c3fdb71d575bb7f5#i0 (http://gld.cryptocoinexplorer.com/tx/593446f3d13c0689ee7450fc5f26b51f07d80bc06f98eaf9c3fdb71d575bb7f5#i0)
and see something related to 2052.9 GLD going out or not registered (I got no idea) :o
Any help with this as the only gld I send was 10 and that didn't get deposited?
Thanks
-
Well it says "Not Yet Redeemed" So maybe it not yet completed its 6 confirmations ?
-
Nice to hear also bought some more Golds :D
-
Ok the 10 GLD got deposited but I still don't understand why the 2052.9 GLD out?
-
Well then, Ask the crypsy support, Or email them. It would help you.
-Thanks-
-
I'll wait for one of the devs from here first.
It won't be good if Cryptsy shuts gld down again.
-
Well cryptsy has removed gold coin.
Why?
I have NO idea :/
But i hope this does not affect the price.
Anybody know the reason they removed it? Any way we can get it back on that site, and in general how can we get goldcoin on other sites. If we can get goldcoin on more sites it will be more known and if it has more publicity more people will be interested in buying it raising the price.
-
9 confirms afr 12 hrs, but now gldcoin is missing from cryptsy again...are they just gone?
-
Well they are again working on some error about the goldcoin client, Everything will be good and back soon.
-Thanks-

That's odd. I use Coinex, but Cryptsy is a big exchange. I mean surely the fact that the devs are being active and fixing the coin wouldn't make them remove it, but I guess so. I'm sure wants the hoo-ha is fixed it'll be back, but until then, I don't know.
-
I just noticed this to. Does anyone know what to do if you currently had GoldCoin held in there? (i'm new to this)
-
I must be doing a terrible job moderating, merging, splitting topics, etc. because I feel like we've answered this question a few times before. Cryptsy didn't remove Goldcoin, they simply paused trading until the network is stabilized.
Trading should resume once the latest patch is released in a few hours and the network has stabilized.

sorry i made this thread before you answered me on the other thread, sorry

Yeah, BitJohn sent me this, this morning
We had some reversals on Goldcoin which should be resolved soon and your coins will appears once we reactivate the market..
So it's coming back.
-
GoldCoin trading again on Cryptsy -- although it's not yet showing up on the main lefthand column, if you go to your balances / GLD actions, you can then get to the marketplace.
-
Ok, Now GLD is back on cryptsy. :D.
-Thanks-
-
Sure will be a good feeling to see it back in the left hand column.
-
Cryptsy says GLD markets are reacctivated but they are not on the list.
-
Please fasten your seat belts. I'm about to merge all these Cryptsy threads into one. 8)

[Cryptsy Update]
The development team is in direct communication with the exchange.
They will be monitoring the network this morning and communicating their findings with the Cryptsy staff. Once they're confident the update is working properly a recommendation will be made regarding the resumption of trading.
So far, everything is working as expected. Please be sure to update your clients. :D
-
Anyone have any idea what the Cryptsy Points are about? I've been searching Cryptsy's site for information about the points and I can't find it.
-
I think it's trust accumulation for faster transaction. Not 100% sure though.
-
[Status Update]
There are some indications that the network is stabilizing. We feel that there's a possibility we'll be able to give Cryptsy the green light to resume trading within 4 hours. :)
-
Cryptsy recently launched its points program ... how does it work, and what can be done with earned points ? and how Dividends are paid ? any help would be greatly appreciated.
-
[Status Update]
A slight problem was discovered in the code that is causing some network difficulties.
There was a blocktime vector error in the code that have been isolated and fixed. The developers are now in the process of preparing this maintenance patch for release. It will be necessary for Cryptsy to pause trading in order to update their wallets.
EDIT: The code has been patched and verified to be working as expected! The updates are being uploaded to the website now and will become available for download momentarily. :D

This topic was removed from "sticky" status since Cryptsy is bankrupt and offline.
