Title: Do we need the Bitcointalk thread?
Post by: Aurophilicity on December 21, 2016, 09:54:31 AM
Due to the ongoing vandalism in the Bitcointalk thread, let me pose this question to you: Do we still need it?
Sometimes there are no new postings for days. Most people reading the Announcements (Altcoins) board should know GLD by now.
There are many other ways to stumble upon GLD.

What say you?

We could take a community poll? On the bright side, the Goldcoin thread stays bumped to the top of the announcement forum.  :)

You're right, but there are also people who feel annoyed by this.

i think its very important to maintain a btt presence, trolls will happen and they happen to the best coins, doesn't do any damage. especially  the current troll any potential goldcoin users would have to be pretty stupid to not laugh off that troll (actually that trolls hard to even understand at the best of times).

OK, but he recently posted the same rubbish five or six times in a row, and that's not funny.

just wear trolls like a badge of honor  8)

look at litecoin, now if you track its history in totally, it would be considered the most successful alt, it's trolled no end; entire threads on bitcointalk started by and controlled by ltc trolls.

the real market makers see through the trolls.

trolls just mean you're getting noticed. if you're coin had no future trolls wouldn't bother.

goldcoins number 1 troll at worst simply bumps the thread and gets it noticed, no one comprehends, let alone believes that troll.
