Is the Chatbox online now notifier a nice addition or a pesky nuisance?

The Germans are testing out the chatbox thoroughly.  :D
However, you will probably want to get rid of the 'Newbie' accounts every now and again.
I already have three different 'Newbie' accounts, and I really don't need them.
There should be a way to use the chatbox only when you're logged in.
