Title: The price of GoldCoin is stuck
Post by: DoucetClan on October 21, 2017, 09:31:21 AM
GoldCoin's price seems stuck between 10 and 14 cents USD.  I have been posting small amounts of GoldCoin for sale on Bittrex to raise its price to 20 cents USD.  Does the GoldCoin Community believe that GoldCoin is worth more than 20 cents  USD? Let us find out.

There seems to be some individuals still interested in manipulating the market for a loss.

What kind of breakout has to occur for GoldCoin to take off toward a dollar and beyond?

It will need to be a breakout that's supported by adoption and popularity because of the coin inflation rate. At $1.00 per coin, we're looking at $2,880 worth of newly minted Goldcoins potentially reaching the market every 24 hours.

This is why we're laser focused on completing the Winter Roadmap (https://www.gldcoin.com/roadmap/). We must make sure the network is fully modernized and that we have wallets available for every OS/platform.

Bitcoin's price is surging above $6200 per coin.  Is there some way to peg GoldCoin to Bitcoin. There remains a glass ceiling for GoldCoin.  What stops the community from driving the price of GoldCoin to $.20 per coin?  There have been some purchases at or above $.20 but they do not seem to have changed the market at all. Pricing pegging to commerce is irrelevant for GoldCoin at its current price.

Disagreeing - not because of the price, that's a fact, but because of the reasoning.
The stable price is a reflexion of the acceptance as a currency by the people.
Look at Litecoin. It was at four dollars for one and a half years.
Then it shot up very quickly.
Expect the same for GLD!  :)

Goodness, what did you smoke?  ;D

Sorry, I misread... $2880 per day, not per coin.  :D

It is hard to have any certainty about the price of GoldCoin or any other Cryptocurrency including Bitcoin (BTC). It is all in the story about how to use the currency. Someone will come up with a reasonable strategy that everyone will start using.

I am going to sell 50,000 GoldCoin to test the marketplace on Bittrex. They will be sold in 1000 coin lots approximately 10% above the highest bid price to see if the community responds.  If so I will set about putting up another 50,000.

The price of GoldCoin is stuck

No, it ain't.

We're on the top of the world and we've only just begun (enough for Carpenters).

Still waiting for 5000 sat = 1 US dollar.

Speaking of on top of the world: Saw yesterday an IP address from Svalbard and Jan Mayen in the GoldCoin explorer, i. e., if you believe in ball earth.  :D
