Title: Gldcoin Art
Post by: golden_glitcher on October 15, 2013, 10:16:12 PM: I was thinking if we want to market gldcoin then we need some pretty art to help us.... so ive just finished putting this together. Anyone who is handy with a digital paintbrush should also lob their art here so the community has a place to grab some art when they need it. I will be doing some more when i get the time.

Do you think it would be a good idea? I was pondering while putting those pics together. What if we got a developer to make a simple platform game kinda like super mario. It wouldn't have to be huge, just like 5 levels with 100 gld coins on each level. You finish the game and if you have collected all the coins then you would unlock a code, which you could redeem for 500 gld via microguy. I also heard its easy to get apps on the android market these days so revenue from in-game advertising could cover some of the costs of paying out the gld coins. This i think would achieve a lot of things.

1) Get the non-crypto public interested in gldcoin (cos who's not gona download a free app if they can earn real money from it).
2) Get more people downloading the wallet so they can recieve their coins
3) Get more people joining the gldcoin forum so they can redeem their codes
4) Get gldcoin in game review websites or heck, maybe even on machinima because they already know about bitcoin and have
a huge audience on youtube.
5) give gldcoin something different that will create a buzz about it.

Having said that, i do think time would be of the essence. We would need to be the first coin to achieve this because we all know about gamecoins and androidtokens which could be used in a similar way.

Whatcha think? pipe dream or realistically possible?

It would be nice to simply get ANY games using goldcoins in my opinion. So it may be a better use of time to attempt to convince some game organization/coders to use goldcoin in their games. I don't know.

It's a tough route regardless in my opinion. Doable, but you have to get someone with those skills and means excited to offer goldcoin as some type of option.

If you want to get the full size pic to show up then right click on the pic,and choose 'copy link address'. Then click on modify message(top right of the text box). This will bring up your original message you wrote that you can edit. Above all the smiley faces there's an 'insert image' option. Click that and paste your link address between the [img] brackets, then save. Now your pic should appear on your msg in full size.

And I agree with mrtsufo, a few pictures of real goldcoins would definitely go a long way.

@ Jarmentra, I am thinking the coins will be about $10-15 (USD) worth of Goldcoin when finished. I want to keep it as cheap as possible, but make the coin look 'good' as well. Once I submit the order, it will take aprox. 4-6 weeks for delivery. Stay tuned for updates.

This one took me a long time to complete. You wont have any copyright issues with it if anyone wants to use it.
I have the images up on imgur cos you cant have attachments on the forum any more due to some kinda hack that happened.
Im not even sure if you can download images from imuger, if not just pm me and ill send you the originals.

Anybody want to donate some coin then please do cos I cant mine em or afford to buy em.
