Title: Is Goldcoin Network running?
Post by: kapare1209 on November 05, 2013, 12:30:37 AM
I am not sure what am I mining. I started mining solo with latest client about 12 hours back with minerd. but nothing happened yet. It just keeps on generating hashes and rejecting it.

Can anyone please advice what should I do to see some GDC in my wallet?

i have the same problem as well and asked about it earlier, the founder (MicroGuy) commented this "Things should start getting better sometime tomorrow after the fork at block 103000."

Right now the count is 102960. So guess another one hour?

I am pretty new in any sort of mining, can anyone tell how much time it can take to dig out my first block in Solo with 440-45 kh/s?

Did you find a block? It seems people are starting to find blocks.

from what ive seen everyone with cgminer is able to detect a new block but they are all still being rejected for some reason, even now after passing the 103000 mark

Spoke a few people who found some blocks. The network needs time to adjust especially the difficulty was ridiculous low that could be of the problem for so many rejects.

Any idea if they were using the amd or invidia miner?
on a side not the picture shows my wallet and cgminer although as i hover my mouse over the wallet part for mining it shows 0 hashes although the cgminer shows 400, is this wrong?

Mining should return to normal once difficulty normalizes. This will take several hours. We are monitoring the situation closely.

I mined another block just a little while ago using a Sapphire 7950 GPU.  :)

one of my earlier question is unanswered yet.... :(

How much blocks I should expect to get solved at my 45 kh/s speed?

Due to the newness of the 51% code this answer is presently unknown.  :-[

After the difficulty levels reach normalization (12 to 24 hours) we can provide you with a better reply.

At this moment nobody can give you an honest answere on your question. Especially when the network hasnt normalized yet.
