I looked into several GLD pool but they are currently suspended. So I decided to try my luck on solo mining.
I downloaded the latest client and currently mining with my cpu at about 19 kHash/s
How long will it take for me to find my first block?
-
Well if you don't get any rejects about 45 GLD every two hours (Thats just from my mining rate calculation :D)
But I got 8 out of 11 blocks rejected so far, so I guess realistically around 45 GLD per day?
-
Things around mining will improve in next few days.
-
just found one block....
and it got rejected.. :-[

Actually I take back my stats. Out of 20 blocks only 2 were accepted. I'm mining at 330khash/s.

I'm using cudaminer.I have a GTX 780 so cudaminer has so far been the fastest.

agreeed. compared to cgminer/bfminer , cudaminer gives me about double the kh/s
-
Hehe I wouldnt say double. But I had a 50-80kh/s improvement over the other miners.
-
with the increasing difficulty, i dont think i will find block in foreseeable future

Maybe joining a pool is an option now http://gld.cryptocoinmine.com or http://gld.cryptocoinmine.com
Both pools are working and more pools will open soon.
I am suprised to see so many new miners/buyers joining Goldcoin.
