Thank you very much. It seems like FPGAs could change the scrypt mining scene just like asics did to bitcoin. If that's the case, I don't want to spend all my money on a super rig with 4 or 5 GPUs if it's just going to be laughable in 2 months.

Thank you. This also happened to my laptop. I really hope when I reinstall the client i won't lose any of my GLD.

Edit: It worked! I still have my GLD balance. Thank you very much. Hopefully that never happens again it scared the hell out of me.

My windows restarted automatically last night and now my Goldcoin client won't open - it just gives me this error every time: The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application. My bitcoin, litecoin, worldcoin, and feathercoin wallets are opening just fine. Can anybody please help me? I had 150 GLD coins and I know that's not alot but I mined them all and I don't want to lose them.

Hey everyone, and thank you for having me here. I'm wondering if somebody can give me some insight as to where scrypt mining is headed in terms of hardware. I understand that 7950s are the current winner when it comes to putting a rig together, but I am wondering if there is something right around the corner I'm going to wish I had waited for?

Thank you very much! It says I need dependencies to build on windows? I've never "built" anything before but I'm about to learn how. Also, I received my 100 GLD, thank you very much!

I do have one problem with pooling, I haven' been able to get anything other than kattare's pool working for me. GUIminer alpha stopped opening for me, and just does nothing when I double click it, and repear has been the only thing that works, but unable to connect to any pool except one. I have my workers set up correctly, I have all the server info input correctly, something is just not working out for me. I tried turning my windows firewall off, nothing. I am on a recent Win 7 install so I don't think I should have any issues with that. I have all the latest drivers downloaded, and have installed the Cuda toolkit form Nvidia.

I'm hoping that with Cudaminer not only can I get my rates increased but I can also start connecting to other pools! It's really frustrating only being able to connect to a single pool, I would have been mining goldcoins with my GPU all night long instead of litecoins. If I can't get this to work out, I would be willing to pay somebody in bitcoins for personal help getting all this worked out. I have a core i7 with 9 gigs of ram and more than willing to buy myself a set of AMD's if I could just get past these initial hurdles.

I'm Excited to be here. Although, I must admit solo mining all night long with my processor on 100% yielded nothing

Maybe somebody can help me out getting my machine to be able to mine something else other than Litecoin!? For some reason only one pool works for me and only on reapear. I can't get Guiminer scrypt working at all. What I need is cudaminer but every link I have found links to the downed bitcointalk forum. Any help on mining Goldcoins would be realllly appreciated. I have a core i7 with 9 gigs of ram and GTX 660 video card and am willing to purchase some AMD cards if this is exciting enough.
