No the block reward will be something like 5 coins to the block finder untill the 2000 coins run out im not sure, When the pool is back up i will start a thread with a poll for the amount.

Again i am sorry for this, I am currently running a pool that has about the same amount of people registered but runs at 400-600MH/s and 600+ active miners and i have not had any issues with this pool what so ever and its been running for 2 weeks now.

That being said i will relook into getting the GoldCoin pool backup and running but i will have to do some work to make sure the dose not happen again.

Oh and i am sorry for the late reply i work a full time job this is only a hobby for me.

Hi guys,

Sorry for this, The issue i have is that there are 2000 coins in the pools wallet but when i was trying to repair the database the share table got that broken that i was not able to fix it no matter what i did. So the issue here is that out of the 2000 coins in the pools wallet i know i had a bout 100 coins in there from mining but after the database was broken it said i had 1000+ so i am not able to see who had what.

The only option i have is when the pool is restarted is to make every registerd uses account NO FEE and have a block finder reward with the 2000 coins.

This is not how i wanted it to be but i cant just pay out people coins with no proof they had that amount in there, I.E. someone PMs me that they had 200 coins in the pool but they only had 40 in the pool this would be taking other peoples coins and would send me broke this is why the pool is in maintenance mode.

So the solution of no fee and a block finder reward i think is fair.

I am sorry to anyone that had a fair amount of coins on the pool i did say the pool was in testing as i was not sure that the database error would not reappear.

So this is where i am at i know a lot of people will get angry at this decision but you have to understand that i ran this pool free of charge for the community and did not make anything from this pool and i feel this is a fair decision for all.

We are past block 117000 And the patch seems to have done the trick. I have not seen any (Wait) Issues and we are smashing blocks.

Still seem to have the (Wait) when we find a couple of blocks in a row.

We now have 1000 Miners Registered So Come on guys lets make GoldCoin The coin of the Future !.

Pretty much, yeah.  that pool is getting alot of orphans again but is getting blocks.

All of the pools seem to be having the same issue. Maybe Solo mining is the best thing untill a new version of goldcoin comes out with a fix for the wait time limit.

I am curious as to what issue you are referring to?

My pool is basically getting all orphans, and I just cross checked  a a large number of blocks the front end claims are orphaned. I cross checked against a local daemon and it turns out all the blocks the front end thinks are orphaned, show up orphaned (0 confirms) on the local daemon.

Am I missing something?

My VPS with my goldcoind in its (wait) state went down and stratum was still pushing blocks into the db that where the same height and the findblock was trying to add duplicate blocks so the cron stoped but by the time i got to it there were to many duplicate height+blockhash to fix then i got a lot of cron errors for double payout detection from the pplns_payout cron.

I tryed to edit the blocks with the issues but there were to many also tryed to reindex the height but to no avail so this is where i am.

The db is so broken now the only fix is to truncate shares blocks and so on and delete my wallet and start the coind new.

I was able to save every ones account info so thats a plus.

I understand that maybe timing out was the wrong word. i can split the crons up but i will still be faced with the same issue with block updates queueing up and it will just get bigger and bigger untill running block update will take days.

You forget that you wont always be in the "wait()" state, once every few minutes you'll get a cron to run right and you'll get all your block updates right then.  8)

It won't queue up as long as you make sure the jobs don't stack.

This is true but this pool i just a hobby i dont make anything from this i do it to help the coin if im lucky i make $1 a day i work a full time job so i dont have the time to monitor the pool all the time.

I will look into splitting the crons and see how it goes.

And if i kill the cron and restart it its just going to take longer as more blocks will have been added.

I did not slander the coin i only posted this to let the people on my pool know what was going on. I think gold coin is a good coin but as i have said i can not run the pool with the new update.

from 0-10MH/s the pool is fine but when you get up to 20+MH/s this cron just keeps getting backed up.

and i do appreciate the dev taking time to help but i dont see a way around this i have done everything i can even setting up a backup coind daemon for the pool to switch to but it dose not help.

I am sorry if you fell as thou i have given the coin a bad name this is not my intention, As i said i like this coin and think its going to be around for a long time.
