Mining & Pools / Re: Orphaned blocks
« on: November 27, 2013, 10:13:19 PM »
Got it. It's been very frustrating watching coins come in only to be removed minutes later. I've also had at least one block accepted that never even showed up in the transaction log. Now that I understand what's going on I will remain patient. Thanks again for the quick responses. So far I'm really liking the support of the GLD community.

Mining & Pools / Orphaned blocks
« on: November 27, 2013, 10:00:30 PM »
Can someone here please explain to me why there are such a high number of orphaned blocks? I'm looking at the block stats on http://gld.cryptcoins.net/ and all I see are orphaned blocks. I am currently solo mining and have had at least 3 blocks today that were accepted but shortly afterward showed up with a question mark and a status of not accepted. I'm still new to all of this so I am trying to get a grasp as to the how and why's of GLD mining. Any clarification that anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Uhh...So is that why my blocks are being rejected? I appreciate the response but it didn't really answer my question. I apologize if this is a newb question but I am just starting out with GLD mining and still have quite a bit to learn.

Mining & Pools / Blocks being rejected

Hey all! I just recently updated to the new client and am finding blocks but they are all being rejected. Is this a byproduct of the network difficulty normalizing or could there be something else causing the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mining & Pools / Re: Solo Mining Issue/Query

I'm also having the same issue. I've had 2 blocks accepted and can see that the transaction counter has incremented but there is nothing in the transaction log nor have I seen an increase in the balance. I am currently mining with a 6950 and 7950 as well as 2 cpu's.

**Update**
I forgot to mention that prior to seeing accepted shares I had two previous shares that were discarded as stales. At that time I had the --no-submit-stale option set. Once i removed that my shares were accepted.
