My apologies for not getting back earlier. Our server was hacked recently and all funds are gone. I will post a announcement ina few days detailing what we will be doing and the future of the pool.

Just a warning, if your not familiar with server administration, php, python, and a slew of other thingsi would not recommend running your own pool. I am a very experienced person in all of these and it is challenging to keep everything running smoothly. My server was recently hacked. It is a full time job with little reward.

Trying to figure that out now.they gained root access but I'm not clear on the method used. It is unrecoverable at this point.

Unfortunately it looks like we were hacked, the pool has lost all funds. I am going to be investigating this attack but it looks very grim at the moment.

Newbie Central / Re: Just Getting Started? Free GoldCoin Faucet!
« on: February 16, 2014, 04:52:15 PM »
It had a very low level DDoS attack I found out as well. Nothing major. That server is just a basic one and I do not spend much on it as it is just hosting the one site. Unfortunately my real job has been quite hectic recently and I have not had much time to devote to any of my sites. I am hoping that I will get some free time to knock out all the issues with the faucet as well as improvements to my pools.

If anyone has knowledge with Javascript, PHP, Perl, Python, and mySQL and would like to help with the development please feel free to drop me a line.

Looks like there are a few bots on there. I am filtering out IP ranges now. Will check every few days to see if any new ones pop up. Good call MicroGuy.

It looks at both IP and Wallet, if either are the same it does not allow payout. I will check the logs to see if it is all coming from the same IP range, if so I will ban it.

Faucet is empty again, I will add some more coin to it once I get home. Of course donations are welcome.

Mining & Pools / Re: Something wrong with pool?
« on: February 07, 2014, 09:01:37 PM »
This is due to the 51% protection that GoldCoin has. Right now when the pool reaches about 50% of the total network hash rate there is a delay in processing the block. Mining does not stop and shares are still processed normally, new blocks are sometimes found during this time. The completed percent will continue to rise and processing of account balances stop until I manually correct it. All blocks found since the error are credited, unfortunately there are times where I am unable to see if this is occuring so the completed amount may get rather high. Once I run a manual process everything is resolved and the pool goes back to normal. Nothing to worry about, I monitor it as often as I can.

I think dencoinpool has been down for quite some time now, I have spoken with the owner on a couple occasions. I think he plans on reopening it but I dont know how long that will be, it has been down for quite some time.

I have source code that gets JSON data from all the pools.  I am using public and private API's (which would require an account).

I have yet to have any exception errors, except for after I migrated my web host!

http://stousenet.com/goldcoin/ - currently says no data!

Also, i like the start of this redesign.  Keep at it.

I just checked it out, have you gotten any data from the pools yet? I did notice one error on the page:
Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected identifier hashengineering.ipage.com/:397
