The first draft of a national strategy to promote Bitcoin and blockchain technology has reportedly been approved by the Cabinet of Malta. This move follows the proposal by Prime Minister Joseph Muscat for the EU to become “the Bitcoin continent.”

GoldCoin Discussion / Do we need the Bitcointalk thread?
« on: December 21, 2016, 09:54:31 AM »
Due to the ongoing vandalism in the Bitcointalk thread, let me pose this question to you: Do we still need it?
Sometimes there are no new postings for days. Most people reading the Announcements (Altcoins) board should know GLD by now.
There are many other ways to stumble upon GLD.

What say you?

GoldCoin Discussion / GLDCOIN.DE and GLDTALK.DE
« on: July 01, 2016, 02:21:20 AM »
I registered the domain names GLDCOIN.DE and GLDTALK.DE.
Germans are used to URL's ending in '.DE'.
gldtalk.de connects to gldtalk.org/index.php?board=38.0 'Local Boards: Deutsch (German).'
gldcoin.de currently sends you to gldcoin.com.
It should be de.gldcoin.com in the future.
If someone wants to set it up, I could provide them with the translation.

Let me first ask you if I'm getting this right:

GLD uses a 45-second window for the timestamp into the future
whereas BTC has a two-hour tolerance.
The timestamps must be in chronological order - unlike BTC.
The GLD clients synchronise their internal clocks with some tolerance against the local system clocks.
BTC doesn't have such a mechanism.

If my assumptions are right, wouldn't it be possible to programme a client that adds up to 45 seconds to the timestamp
when it has found a new block?
Wouldn't this bar other clients from submitting their blocks especially when this rogue client has a high hashrate?

I'm asking this because I've observed some weird behaviour in the last two weeks or so:

Every now and then, a string of blocks with a size of 249 shows up in the block-explorer
unless there is more than one transaction per block.
The age of the newest of these blocks is frequently '0 minutes 0 seconds.'
During such a period, mining only produces orphans.
Transactions between clients are not affected whatsoever.

Am I on the right track?
