I have just started mining for gold coins and am still new to crypto currencies.  I think that gold coin has a chance to compete with BTC and LTC from what I have heard so far.

Right now I am looking in to getting parts that will help me mine faster, but I am not sure what to get.

Well I think AMD's graphics cards are probably your best although they are getting more expensive and harder to find by the hour.  For instance the 290 I just bought last week for $400 is now $500.  But lets get back to you.

If you can find AMD 7950's, or R9 290's I think they are giving you the best 'bang for your buck'.  Otherwise I would search for 7970's and R9 280X's.  Let me know if this is confusing to you and you need some more help.
