the dip is starting to hurt

not sure what to do.  I already took my less energy efficient miners offline, and if this goes down another $.004 might not make $$ sense.

You could mine other coins and buy Goldcoins.

They are all down really.  Think I might just sit on what I have.

You have a bunch to sell?

I expect the price to bounce around the time the new client is released in spring.

The code base is written from scratch and it will have new features never before seen in cryptocurrency. I'm personally converting cash into bitcoins using coinbase and methodically buying GLD on the open market at Cryptsy at these bargain basement prices.

Might just have inject some actual cash and buy it with $.  There's a bottom somewhere.

I bet there's more than a few Californians that could be interested. This article I published a few minutes ago seems to be taking off on Reddit and Facebook.

Of course I had to put in a good word for the Gold Standard of Digital Currency! (:D)

Just got electric bill.  With just r9 290 x2 running, not too much money at all.  Those older cards were drawing a ton of juice apparently.

Will re run the calculations to see where the cost becomes more advantageous to buy outright with BTC, but for now at least my wife is off my back.

I feel like you cannot do the math based on today's rates.  For example, a couple of years ago I was mining BTC with a single 4850 GPU but stopped when "all" I could get was 0.3 BTC per day, thinking I was losing money.  D'oh!

When mining, you really have to look further down the road at a more optimistic rate when calculating ROE!
