Hiya folks...
I've got something new for you all to check out... (please

)
http://coinmon.netspecto.comor more specifically for the GoldCoin crowd...
http://coinmon.netspecto.com/xymon/GoldCoinIt's a work in progress, and I'm looking for some early feedback...
Any requests to monitor new coins, pools, markets, metrics, graphs, reports, etc, will be seriously considered (and likely granted).
Why?
I'm an old UNIX guy, with a good chunk of my career dedicated to monitoring and analysis, and I got bit by the crypto currency bug a few months ago. With a couple of kids and a house, etc. etc. I really don't have the scratch for anything resembling a real mining rig, but I do have a good IT skill-set, and I'm up babysitting changes late at night a lot, AND, I'm nerdy enough to run my own xymon instance at home.
If you don't know Hobbit/Xymon, and you need systems monitoring, I would encourage you to check it out..
So, while watching my OLD home server tear up 2khs and rack up a few coins SLOWLY, I began to script out some checks in ye' olde systems-monitor to give myself historical context on a variety of things, balances, hash-rates, pending pool shares, etc. etc.
About a week ago I had the thought: "Self, you have a server you're not really using, you should make a public version of this..."
From there, I've spend the last several days stripping out "me-specific" code.. (my own wallet balances, hash rates, pending pool shares, etc) Which is honestly more than half of what I've been watching... And, hacking up my copy of Xymon a bit to look a little less "hobbity"...
This is currently something I can see as a starting-point for something pretty cool, and I'm basically using GoldCoin as a test case for anything I'll want to implement on the other currencies. This is basically because I mine it most often... (Oh Yea! Betting on the future of GoldCoin with the last gasps of my old, crappy machines.)
