Something wrong with pool?
« on: February 06, 2014, 08:58:03 PM »
Time Since Last Block    2 hours 3 minutes 49 seconds seems odd for GLD coin

Mining at cloudmines, has been rock solid, great job with the set up, and thanks.

Yep, you're right it was fine after another hour of so after I posted.

I think it was that bug that sees the valid pool grow larger and larger and never completing the block, eventually some intervention (I assume) allows a new block to be found and everything is fine, and all previous block shares appear to be credited correctly so nothing lost just a little weird until the reset.

This is due to the 51% protection that GoldCoin has. Right now when the pool reaches about 50% of the total network hash rate there is a delay in processing the block. Mining does not stop and shares are still processed normally, new blocks are sometimes found during this time. The completed percent will continue to rise and processing of account balances stop until I manually correct it. All blocks found since the error are credited, unfortunately there are times where I am unable to see if this is occuring so the completed amount may get rather high. Once I run a manual process everything is resolved and the pool goes back to normal. Nothing to worry about, I monitor it as often as I can.
