Mining Using the Wallet

I know it's not the preferred way, but considering I'm on a Mac and completely new, I just want to **try** mining gld using the wallet-- but I'm having no luck connecting to pools or solo mining.  Are there any instructions anywhere on using it?  Is pool mining even possible using the wallet?

It's great to see new people here that are interested in mining. I've moved your thread to the mining section to see if there's someone with Mac experience to help you. Hopefully, someone will be along soon to steer you in the right direction.
