Hey everyone I just downloaded the new app and it is awesome and easy to use.

Hi Anita! Thank you for reviewing the new Android application.

Our mobile developer Stouse49 released an update yesterday which will remove the warning message about carrying too many coins.

Test the application, I found a small bug: If you specify the address of the application of the purse as the address where mining is when you receive a small amount of it is not credited.
or rather all that is below 0.01

This is not a bug. It is the default decimalization. You are still receiving the dust at the address.

You can always change this using the denomination and precision option listed in the "Settings" menu.

This app is not recommended to receive mining payments.  It will eventually slow down the wallet.

Eric, time for some applause to you.  :D
Anyone disagreeing with me?

Having a hard time sending coins. Did the reset blockchain, added peers listed here, reset the blockchain etc.

Now, reinstalled the app, and cant import my previous keys via the xpub. I did backup the wallet directory, and shifted all my coins over to a paper wallet for the time being.

I just need to move the coins i have on my previous account to the exchange to be sold before the prices change.

This app can't import coins using an xpub (the public "seed" for the HD wallet).  It can only import the backup files that the app makes.

If you are in a hurry and the app isn't working, a the desktop client can import the private key of the paper wallet.  If the app does work, it has a paper wallet sweep function, which will transfer the coins from the paper wallet to the app.  Let us know if you need more information.

In the app, use the Report issue function under Settings | Diagnostics and we can look at the logs and find a solution.

i have reported it with the app....

question is, can i import my android phone wallet then import it into my linux desktop wallet?
also how can i restore from my backup keys on my android if it may delete from reinstalling the wallet (does it save the backup keys somewhere else the uninstall doesn't touch)?

If you have moved all the coins over to a paper wallet, simply use "importprivkey <goldcoinprivkey> [label]" to import the private key into the desktop wallet or use the paper wallet sweep function using the Android application as suggested above.

I didn't see a report come in on my email from the app.

If you do a backup in Options | Safety | Backup Wallet, it will save a backup file in the Downloads folder and give you an option to archive the backup through another app such as email or a cloud.

If you uninstall, that backup will still remain in the Downloads folder of your device.

Someone has reported seeing the bitcoin logo during notifications (like when sending and receiving).

It's not a major problem but something we might want to correct in the next update. This terrific app is really growing in popularity!

I am working on an update that will include:
1.  The fix for the previous post with the wrong notification icon (bitcoin's) instead of GoldCoin's
2.  Revised list of nodes for better connections (hopefully)
3.  Updated checkpoints for new installs

The above items were addressed and the new DNS Seeder is now used by the Android app.
