There is a real opportunity for digital currencies to fill a void bitcoin is leaving now. The Bitcoin Foundation should have officially endorsed exchanges (based on adherence to best practices and regular audits). Mt Gox clearly should NOT have been on there. Karpeles should NOT have been a board member. This board should have been focused on helping bitcoin users navigate the world of bitcoin safely.
I believe now is a ripe time for a digital currency to come forward and promote an ecosystem that constantly tries to ensure the safety of it's users. Nothing is perfect but GoldCoin has already done that with the unique 51% protection that no other coin developers even bother with. GoldCoin should be this safety net as Microguy has shown in his new videos. Great job by the way!
