« on: March 03, 2014, 04:22:03 PM »
Who do you think contributed the most to the Goldcoin Community during the month of February 2014?

Please place your nominations in the thread below and I will create a poll after we have three nominees. The poll will then run for 48 hours and a winner will be determined by popular vote.

In your reply below you can add your nomination and reason as shown:

Nomination:

Reason:

The winner each month will receive 2500 Goldcoins and have the winning poll stickied to the top of the forum for an entire month with their tip address displayed so members can show their appreciation.

Administrators and moderators are not eligible so please no nominating forum staff. You cannot nominate yourself.

I can go ahead and nominate three people and start the poll if that would be better?  :P

Okay. I'll give it a few more hours and then get started tonight.

I haven't seen the new client, don't know who did what on it, don't know who's behind the new logo and videos, and haven't followed the tipping and commentary on Reddit outside of /r/goldcoin.

I would, however, like to note and thank the prompt responses to my questions in the mining and technical areas.

I haven't done enough.  Don't nominate me.  Everyday I struggle with simply not shooting myself in the foot.  :)

Edit:  I wrote the above because psionin had mentioned me before in a previous edit.

I am excited by our new members personally.  Akumaburn, Microguy and Stouse should obviously be on that list.

I'll tell you what, Akumaburn is one unflappable, principled individual.  If he has as much brains as he has integrity, he'll take that list every time.

I think though, that list should have some newcomers on it.

Thank you for your suggestions and ideas.

Administrators, forum staff, and developers are not eligible for this monthly award. This monthly award will be given to outstanding members of the community that are exemplary in their efforts to support and advance Goldcoin, and be of service to its community.

I disagree that administrators, forum staff, and developers are not eligible. All individuals ought to have an equal chance of being nominated by their peers. Why should some individuals be punished and excluded from peer recognition. In fact, I like the contributions developers, staff and administrators have gifted this community. Why should they be excluded from being rewarded according to the nomination process by community members.  Self-nomination is the only exclusion I would endorse. I don't Stouse49 would nominate himself. Please allow me to nominate STOUSE49 as a potential candidate. He has contributed much to permit this community to get establish and develop.

That makes sense. So it's agreed, the only exclusion is no self-nominations.  :D
