I think Dreamwatcher's pool has been great lately.  My original comments were too harsh upon sane reflection.  I tried deleting it but...alas...the software wouldn't let me.

Well this doesn't make sense..?
and yeah, definently need another stable and quality pool that will be around.

Hashrates are calculated based on difficulty and block solving times.

The Network Hashrate is an average from the last 120 blocks, or what ever number is chosen.  Pool Hash rate may be calculated based how often blocks are solved by the pool, or it may be from information transmitted by the miners (I am not sure about this).

Depending on how these hashrates are calculated and if people were adding more hash power to mine GLD in the past 4 hours (because the price doubled over night), it is possible for the Pool Hashrate to be higher than the Network Hashrate as it is presented at this pool.  In reality, the Pool Hash Rash rate cannot be greater than the entire Network.

At this moment this pool reports:
Network Hashrate: 128.978 MH/s
Pool Hashrate: 95.718 MH/s

My own calculations are as follows for Network Hashrates:
Last 120 Blocks:  128.98 MH/s
Last 60 Blocks: 150.01 MH/s
Since Last Retarget (5 blocks):  84.93 (indicates, some miners left after the last difficulty change)

Has anyone used http://gld.cryptopool.info

The only trouble I have with Crypt and VirCur pools is Get Work isn't always working. Everyone seems to like Stratum only on their pools and I think it's a bad idea to have Stratum only. People are not going to go out and buy a video card or what ever just to try mining.

The latest version of cpuminer supports stratum:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=55038.msg654850#msg654850

It is the mining software that provides the limits of using stratum or getwork (LP) rather than the hardware (CPU or GPU).

Unfortunately Pushpool (The software I use to provide LP), has not been updated in some time.

I already have to alter parts of it to work with the modern front-end databases.

What is happening is a bug that causes a "Too many files open" error that stops Pushpool which stops LP support.

Stratum is provided by separate software that is not effected by Pushpool.

I have a major project and many smaller projects going on now and I do not have the time to look into fixing this bug. For now when I catch it it, I simply reset Pushpool and it runs fine until the bug pops up again. Not many people use the LP port especially now that cpuminer supports Stratum. I thought I read Cudaminer also started supporting it, but I am unsure.

There is also a stratum/LP mining proxy software package, but it may be too complicated for a beginner to setup. I can see about setting it up in place of Pushpool, but honestly it is not at the top of my list, mostly due to low demand for it.
