CPU mining GLD

Sorry if i didn't search good enough; or if I posted this when I was trashed already
I have a large amount of CPU 35GHZ in one DC and umm I don't even know, maybe more than that in another.  I use this CPU to mine RIC and DOGE and a few others, does anyone suggest the best way to do so for GLD? I use Linux on the boxes.  Ubuntu but i have Cent OS images that deploy just as fast, templates and all. (so I can deploy a new box in like 2 mins).

Anyway, I tried BFGMINER with --scrpty and -S cpu:auto last night and it wasn't registering on the pool..
Any ideas

Ok so I just stood up a Ubuntu server, logged in
sudo apt-get update

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:unit3/bfgminer
hit enter to accept

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install bfgminer

./bfgminer --scrypt -S cpu:auto -o <pool url> -p username.worker -p <pass>

run's - but doesn't mine at pool, any ides

i have never done much cpu mining, just gpu with cgminer but one thing make sure you type in your settings for your miner, pool, and worker info perfect because one little mistake could stop your miner from working

well I was able to use minerd, to get them working - i have a few boxes up on hashfaster, check it out.

I can also confirm that minerd works with:

./mierd --url=stratum+tcp://url.goes.here:port --userpass=mineruser:minerpass

yeah not a big fan of miners, so I just put some miners on the pool..
