New to Gold Coins
« on: April 15, 2014, 02:44:08 PM »
Hello,

I'm happy to be here ... If a bit overwhelmed... I hope I've posted in the right place...

I wonder if anyone could give us some advice?

We are retired folks living in Scotland and are keen to invest in some gold coins. We are new to gold investing and this coin is certainly at the upper price tag of the market.

We are wondering whether or not it is worth purchasing a 2012 Diamond Jubilee Commemorative Coin (22 ct gold) from the Royal Mint with only a few now available.

It's a lot of money to fork out and we'd like to know if folks think this would offer a return in the short or even long-term.

So, to sum up: Is it a worthwhile investment?

Many thanks for your time in advance.

Pete

Hi!

I'm not entirely sure but I think you may be confused with what Goldcoin is. Goldcoin is a digital currency, nothing at all to do with physical coins or commemorative coins.

Hopefully you will find what you are looking for though!

Good luck :)

Oh. Yes, I was confused, but that seems to be a common occurrence these days...

Thank you for the heads up.

I might just stay here though. digital currency could be another avenue of investment to look into. It's all very interesting...

Great idea!

I was a gold investor back around 2001 before the big price rise. We see similar results on the horizon for Goldcoin (GLD)! (:D)
