I'm done commenting on this thread though.

Hopefully things will work out in the future and during critical moments we won't be screwed.  If we are, here's hoping it's an accidental screwing.

I play hermit for a couple of days and now I am the bad guy.

I have not read messages or emails (unless they are PMs about trouble in the pool) the last couple of days to get caught up with the time lost on the CCE rewrite project while fixing the pool this weekend.

I cannot control when software bugs show up, especially on software that I do not develop. Was the timing unfortunate? Yes. Did I have any control over it? No.

I have nothing to give contrition for. If protecting miners from getting being short-changed on coins they have mined is not having having Goldcoins best interest at heart, so be it. I would make the same decision again.

It is up to the miners to set a fail-over pool in their mining config. Any pool can go down at any time and I am most definitely not the only game in town, nor would I want to be.

I do no see myself or the pool as anything special to Goldcoin and miners are free to choose whoever or however they want to mine.

I fail to understand all the vitriol pointed at me by tadspoles, but so be it. He is entitled to his opinion, thoughts and the expression thereof.

Sorry for the vitriol.  I don't think anyone should leave your pool.  I'll come back to you later in the week papa.  I love ya.  You hear that you so and so.  :)

See your pool is a durka durk man and during peak interest I just want you to try really hard to listen to this man.

well i see crytocoinmine is getting more donors, this is good cuz hopefully it encourages dream to keep it up for us. his low fee of 1.5% is pretty generous for only having two reliable pools in town. vircurpool is what i started on so being loyal to my pool i devote most my output towards that pool. although i do mine on his pool with my lower resources. i feel the 3% fee on vircurpool is fair but no more cuz im such a small miner ,and so with the 1.5 % i added 1.5% donation = 3% to cryptocoinmine. and that being said, i encourage others to at least donate something and help support our team.

thank you

I have activated the pools' API.

Under 'about' is a link to information on how to use the API.

DUE TO A CONFLICT I NEEDED TO CHANGE THE LP PORT TO 2222.

Stratum port remains the same.

In light of the continuing problems with the Long Poll back end, I searched for a more up to date Push Pool capable of handling the coins in the two pools I still run LP on. I have found one whose last update was a couple of months ago. It is running on the pool now.

Fingers Crossed.

I have purchased and added: http://goldcoinmine.net and http://www.goldcoinmine.net to the pool.

The old domain name is still in effect and users do not have to change anything.

I added the domain name as it is easier to remember and I have moved away from the Cryptocoinmine theme for now.

Goldcoin is the only pool I run that uses (and will continue to be a valid address) under Cryptocoinmine.com.

If you decide to start using the domain after using the cryptocoinmine.com domain, you may have to clear the cookie for the page or just wait for it to expire.

This morning  there was a couple of hours where the coin daemon lost all its peers and was stuck on a block.
I had to shut everything down and eventually I had the Goldcoin daemon rebuild its database from scratch with a new peer file.

Statistics will be off for a bit, and will probably need 24 hours to stabilize. This does not effect payouts or share counting.

I want to apologize for the Downtime on the pool today. I awoke this morning to 3 of my VPS being down and unreachable. The pool went down twice, the second time due to some miscommunication with the VPS provider.

The issues were all on the VPS end, however I now have a direct contact with them so in the future I will not have to wait for support tickets to be answered.

Im just curious as to why the the website keeps going down? It would be nice if dreamwatcher could put up a quick post like "down for maintenance...be back in 10," just so we aren't left hanging and wondering what the issues could be?

I have been privately testing the pool and it is now starting to get accepted blocks. Once the acceptance rate is a little higher I will reopen the pool.

Once reopened, all the accounts are fresh with a zero balance.

ALL BALANCES ON THE OLD POOL WILL BE PAYED OUT IN A DAY OR TWO. I TOOK QUITE A HIT FROM THE INVALID BLOCKS,IT IS HARD TO SAY HOW MUCH BUT IT IS OVER 11K
I HAVE DECIDED TO PAYOUT FOR ALL THAT IS OWED AND NOT PENALIZE THE MINERS FOR THE INVALID BLOCKS

I must be doing something wrong. Can't get my worker active. I followed every step from the "Getting Started"-Tutorial.
I'm using an iMac.

Mining has again been temporarily suspended.

Since a little over 5 hours ago, every block found by the pool has been rejected by the daemon.

I am also suspending payouts in case the pool is on a forked chain.

More information to follow.
