Cryptsy Community Relief Project

I'm working my way now through the most recent group of wallet requests and generally skipping those that include multiple wallets.

Once I have the wallets uploaded, I will send out password-protected Dropbox links via PM. Tonight, I will update the master list in the second post to reflect the most recent changes.

It will most likely be a period of a few months before we can satisfactorily and fairly allocate the more than 100 wallets that remain.

I'm having a lot of fun with this side project. It's great seeing these old coins get a chance at renewed life!

Edit: I just found a couple of Dogecoin wallets that I'll add to the master list tonight. Interestingly, these wallets have huge file sizes.

I have always loved Nyancoin me being a cat lover and all and the nostalgia of it too.I do not dump coins I collect them. Nyan I was going to collect I already have several thousand I wanted to do the same thing your doing.It's a very small market and I believe it can not withstand a large "Dump" Like yourself, I would much rather see the file destroyed than the coins just dumped on the market.It is good that you wish to carry the torch.Good luck to you

It just so happens I had just started the process of reworking  Flappy .https://www.reddit.com/r/flappycoin/comments/65awfl/att_flappy_dev_team/ a small group of us have been talking about it off and on since we lost all our flap. The new wallet ( 1 year old qt not available ) although looking very fun simply wont work anymore . on April 24th if there has been no response from the development team , discussions on  what can be done and what should be done about the chain and where all everyone's flappers are right now  will become very serious.  Looking around over the last year or two i still see some very patient and enthusiastic miners, traders and stakers.  Aside from it being simply a very fun coin to have it just doesn't seem right the way its been abandoned.  Exchanged or not the chain should be moving its only right . I request responsibility for the Flapper unless anyone opposes.

Flappycoin died because Griffith killed it, the upgrade to PoS for Flap didn't work and he ran off and never fixed what he was paid to do.

I am the original developer of Trinity (86). I would like to claim the wallet and see what it has.. over time I have lost a great deal of Trinity to exchanges and this is good motivation for me to pay some more attention to my creation.

i'd grab a random doge wallet.
also believe they are wallets that could be put towards goldcoin dev funds etc as doge would be to hard to track missing owners and lost coins would hardly dint it on market etc

any left over non claim wallets i'd be happy to help sort through and donate back to goldcoin funds etc

I am coinaday from Reddit (also use the same username on BCT but I'm very rarely active on there). I started a community revival for NYAN in 2015, and while I do not consider myself a developer for the project, as vmp32k and stellarseahorses have made our only updated client release since the revival started, I am a clear leader of the project such as it is and I don't believe there would be any objections to me taking custody of the coins.

However, if there is any dispute, I would far rather the wallet be destroyed than released to someone from outside the community. Specifically, I am not familiar with the name TomVelvetPaws, although perhaps he is actually someone I know in NYAN and just using a different username. My concern is that the coins not simply be dumped on the market as it would be very detrimental to our tiny market.

I had been very curious what ever happened to these coins. We never saw the effect of them being dumped, but weren't sure if that meant someone was just waiting and they weren't valuable enough yet. It would mean a lot to be able to secure these coins. If I'm given access, I will not consider any of it under my own personal ownership, as I got all of my coin off Cryptsy and have plenty already, but instead will give it back to those who lost it as best I can (as far as I recall offhand, americanpegasus is the only one who has stated significant losses of NYAN on Cryptsy but I'm sure there were other traders who weren't active in our particular community but traded a wide variety) and dedicate the rest to supporting the coin (giveaway to developers and content creators; explicitly excluding myself to keep it fair).

In any event, very interesting situation and I think it's great that you guys are putting this out there. I only know of GLD and Microguy from Cryptopia trollbox which I haven't been in for quite a while, but this definitely adds significantly to my personal opinion of the project.

The fastest way to contact me is on Reddit to /u/coinaday, but I'll try to make sure to check in here periodically until I hear about a resolution for NYAN. Feel free to checkout /r/nyancoins for anyone curious about the project.

I have contacted you via reddit using Stouse49 and am willing to help you get these Nyancoins.  There is a significant amount of them.

If anyone needs help extracting coins from wallets.  I can help. 

Linux machines are usually best. 
1.  Download the source from github for the coin and build.  This may require some code changes based on your dependencies. 
2.  Setup the .conf file with rpcpassword and addnode= if necessary
3.  start the daemon and let it sync on an empty wallet (sometimes you can find a bootstrap or a partial blockchain to start with)
4.  Stop the daemon
5.  Replace the empty wallet.dat with the one from cryptsy
6.  Start the daemon and let it start up (it may take many hours).
7.  Use another terminal to use the daemon program or the cli version and do "getinfo" to see if gives you any information about the wallet size.  getpeerinfo will tell you the block count of the other peers to compare with what is in getinfo.
8.  After syncing, use sendtoaddress to send out the coins to another wallet.
9.  Many sending transactions may be required to send out all the coins.  Perhaps even hundreds due to transaction size limits and how much dust and small transactions are in the cryptsy wallet.

I was just informed of the potential retrieval of coins via cryptobetfair. As you can see, I am newly registered, but did have a cryptsy account that when it went down had 3 BTC in various coins. I had approximately 2 million doge, about 100 LTC, and the list goes on (potcoin, WDC, CHN, GME, etc). I can provide account information and do have some people online that might vouch for me being around. In any case, thank you for your time and consideration.

Sounds like a lot of fun I'm resyncing the crave wallet from scratch.There are very many addresses in there and transactions it will take awhile to track down some of these people if I am at all able.I'm fairly sure that I will be able to find some of them though.It is fun just with this one wallet.I can only imagine the fun you are having.
