[Note] Forum character set converted to UTF-8
« on: August 28, 2013, 01:33:49 PM »
There have been some reports by users of posts being cutoff when certain special characters are used.

This has affected me in the past when trying to post characters like the trademark symbol. After some research it was discovered that the solution was to convert the entire forum over to UTF-8 as described here: http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/UTF-8_Readme. The conversion described has now been completed.

This is a test:

In the past the text you are reading right this very moment would have simply disappeared upon posting of the message. Since you are reading this text, the issue has apparently been resolved.

Please let me know if you experience any posting issues or notice anything that I might have over looked. Thanks.
