I am on Windows 7 x64 . Running the wallet is using all of my cpu even when not mining. I am using the most up to date version.

I'm sorry to hear you are having problems. Have you completed downloading the blockchain and is your client in sync?

yes my client is in sync. It seems that after it has synced the cpu usage shoots up to 100%

Unless something funny is going on, the only thing that can use 100% of the CPU in the client is the "Miner"

I am having same issue, seems like solo is working only on my CPU. before with ver 0.7.1.2 GPU was working fine.

Check the goldcoin.conf file for generate=1

If it is there remove it.
