I am not sure what kind of independent sources they are looking for, but if my blog helps, I would be more than happy to include a detailed article on GLD. I really like ProtoShares at this stage. They give you 'equity' in all future Invictus releases including BitShares and DomainShares.

It has the best developers, by far, working on various aspects and expanding the protocol. It will be hard to beat just with a 'better' name.
Obviously the name is not going to win it for us alone. So we don't plan on sitting idly by waiting for victory to happen. We have a great development team, a strong community, and a will to win. We are innovating daily and growing by leaps and bounds.

It will always be a difficult correlation to maintain. In the short term, as BTC soars, the alt-coins fall but in the long to long-ish term, BTC rising in value means a validation of crypto-currencies which is good for the whole industry, including alt-coins. I think in the future we will definitely have multiple alt-coins being accepted by merchants.
