I made some posts about blockchain stuffing in the past few weeks.. Is this is a different problem ?

There are currently 3 different rogue nodes which intermittently try to sync the wrong chain, but this has been going on for weeks.

Is your wallet still functioning as if up to date ?

If I close the wallet and reopen, it will sync for a few minutes then it goes back out of sync.

We need to get this fixed before we start bringing more users on board. IMO.

What I meant was, you should still be able to send and receive because wallet actually is up to date (the sync. information is fake)

Not being a coder, I don't know what can be done. A determined attacker could always match any new client, I would guess: or attacks may may simply be linked to blockchain code itself (ie new client won't help).

I think you a referring to something which is not a sync problem.  The client appears to be attempting to download the wrong blockchain, whilst still being up to date (you will find it works normally at this time as well).

It is due to a rogue node (or two) giving the wrong info : actually offering the wrong chain. It is rejected by good nodes, and is only a problem when network hash is low

I don't know how much of that is paid mining.

In the earlier stages of coin life, (and that applies to all coins atm apart from BTC and maybe LTC ) the most important aim is to maintain network hashrate, and have some measure of resistance to attack (I understand there a several types of attack). Therefore that should be the prime aim so......

It seems to me that a cap is desirable (if the coins runs at a lower difficulty for longer, that won't kill it), and a flexible readjustment down is also required. I cannot see the real disadvantages of maximum downward flexibility combined with a gently rising cap. 

Please can you let me know if I have read this correctly ?

Do not respond to their posts, and Especially do NOT quote their posts, at that draws attention. The thread should be filled with sensible comments to drown out the trolls.
