GoldCoin Discussion / Re: Keep The Faith Guys!!
« on: December 18, 2013, 11:10:12 AM »
Remember the secret of success in life is for a man to be ready for his opportunity when it comes.
Amen!

the fact BTC dropped like 60% is not a huge news, it's just the fact now its value so high that people panic
and the press makes it even more scary to those who jumped in for quick buck

cryptos are a marathon, long term investment and not just that - change of our monetary system
so keep your cool, don't do anything stupid and if you can afford.... buy more coins!

or mine.. mine.. mine ;)

GoldCoin Discussion / Re: Why GoldCoin is the Best
« on: November 28, 2013, 07:09:53 AM »
We can all feel it....
its a weird feeling, like anxiety mixed with a boatload of joy.
We can see bitcoin and litecoin reaching incredible highs. No one would have thought it would happen this fast.
We can see the alt-coin mania that's happening right now, its exploding!!
We see goldcoin hitting 1 mil marketcap and multiply in value.
Is this real? Im expecting to wake up from a dream or something.
Ive had a really bad few years before this, everything that could possibly go wrong was going wrong. My best mate died from cancer at 29, longterm g/f dumps me, lose my job, bank threatening to take my home. I mean i really suck at life....
But i can feel it now, cant you? I can feel everything just flipping 180. We are definitely on the right side of history.

And im so glad to have such a nice bunch of ppl by my side while we are going through these groundbreaking historic changes in this strange thing we call life.  ;)

keep up your spirits! I see many big changes coming this/next year for many, many people
all of those I believe will be good ones when we look at these from a perspective

and all the coin movement and it's growth - I see it as a manifestation of what changes in people
we're sick of the rigged economy and finally there is something which can really make a difference
one just needs to keep his mind/eyes open and be part of it

I just bought some coins yesterday to get a few more than I can mine, personally I don't care and I actually transferred LTC to exchange, traded for BTC and bought GLD as this gave me more coins than LTC -> GLD directly.

I'm noob at trading  ;D but the way I see it is that more options is better, surely the more important thing would be getting USD exchange for GLD!

Chinese exchange for GLD is a brilliant idea!

I would definitely appreciate having an email when new update is available :)

Service Discussion / Re: Invest in Cryptsy!

No reason to be sorry ;)

Didn't say he's my hero, yet I do believe in facts and the fact is he built Cryptsy and it's operating.
In my book that is a success, nobody's perfect so if he makes mistakes in the process... that's normal, he has to as he needs to learn how to do this (every person starting business has to do that).

Surely I'm not an insider in crypto world and I don't know many thing but I can't see why an exchange would be blamed for scam coins. Cryptsy's providing service and people use it, in my view the problem is people are not informed well enough before making an investment.

How is Cryptsy responsible for messing the game up for all legit cryptos?

I really ask out of interest as I don't know, I'm open minded so I don't have an opinion, you may be right but I'm not seeing it.

btw. what cryptos you're trying to take forward? what coins you think have the best future?

Hey guys just want to offer a thought. Please support the exchange that has supported us so well and buy shares in it, every 2 weeks you get a dividend from Cryptsy, if we support this exchange enough we can then trade GLD for fiat currency (dollars etc) Please support them and we can also grow their business and show them support allowing our currency to increase in price as well.

Shares can be bought here: https://cryptostocks.com/securities/57

Thanks for the info!

Not sure about BigVern's motives but for me it sure looks like he knows what he's doing. Have been watching him since the time he started litebonk (and was one of the first miners there as well  ;D )

I can't really blame him to support any coin possible, it's an exchange not a validation portal for altcoins.
I surely consider investing in Cryptsy as I can see it being successful.

Mining & Pools / Re: The next GPU for scrypt mining
« on: November 09, 2013, 04:05:29 PM »
Hey guys.
New to this. But been mining another coin for a while. The FPGA's are not a problem as of now. The ones that are out there are very expensive and they don't provide very high hashrates. The best one out there is providing 250KH/s  for about $250.00. You can get Gigabyte or Sapphire 7950's for $200.00 or less. The 7950's provide 680 - 690KH/s. So the FPGA's are not a threat for now. They need to find a way to get the price down. But I don't see that happening for while.

But i think within 1 year we will see the first affordable FPGA's.

Crypto Industries looks interesting; however the middle unit (5MH/s) is  4U 19″ rack mount enclosure, this is quite a beast! The company made it clear we should not expect those to be cheaper than GPU rigs. They will be more power efficient for sure, but the investment cost will be higher.

I think we're safe for now tbh, ASIC killed SHA256 mining because of it's hashrate. Looking at FPGAs and the fact the biggest one available is 10MH/s I don't see this to be much of a danger for GPU mining.

Still, would love to get my hands on one of those bigger units  ;D

GoldCoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin rising

I think in the future we will definitely have multiple alt-coins being accepted by merchants.

Couldn't agree more! Nature likes diversity, people like choice and there is plenty of space in this market.
We're just starting with crypto-currencies, the fact BitCoin is already such a huge success is only a glimpse of what's in store for the future.

Just a head's up that the numbers on Coinmarketcap.com are off since Cryptsy paused trading.

Using the last trade at CoinEX.pw and the MtGox last price we should be in 18th place with a marketcap of $152,281.00 and a coin price over 1/2 cent each.  :)
Thanks for the update!

Wonder when Cryptsy will resume trading GLD.

GLD forward ! :)

Hi to everyone

Just learned about GoldCoin few days ago and loved the video (looks like some really good drink you had there  ;) )
I love the name, the idea of 51% protection and the fact it's clear you guys see a future in this coin.

Personally I think that the name itself may be unique enough for this coin to get wider acceptance.
I'm in, all my rigs got on GLD now and will keep it there

Don't send me the 100... keep it for coin development   ;D

That's my area
