Im sure we've all noticed the current rise in value in bitcoin(and still happening btw).
Almost all the major altcoins have dropped in value due to this rise..... but check out gldcoin!!  Its actually up some!! Hope this trend continues.

Yeah its one of the stranger things in life,

Bitcoin goes up, so does GoldCoin.. but almost every other alt falls.. the reverse also appears to be true often.

It will always be a difficult correlation to maintain. In the short term, as BTC soars, the alt-coins fall but in the long to long-ish term, BTC rising in value means a validation of crypto-currencies which is good for the whole industry, including alt-coins. I think in the future we will definitely have multiple alt-coins being accepted by merchants.

I agree with this statement. I also think it will be the coins with the best "brandablity" and overall consumer appeal that will battle for the top positions. Of course a solid development team backed by a diverse and thriving community will be essential to any successful crypto currency.

It is truly amazing how far Goldcoin has come over the past few months, and we've only just begun.   :D

Couldn't agree more! Nature likes diversity, people like choice and there is plenty of space in this market.
We're just starting with crypto-currencies, the fact BitCoin is already such a huge success is only a glimpse of what's in store for the future.
